Game times

Mid-late May we usually see some game times announced across college football.

Last year the first 3 weeks were released around May 20.

We know Michigan is the White Out game, so presumably it will start around 8 pm or so.
Which is why I quit spending money on tickets. Our best games are always at night. I can’t afford a $2000 weekend in State College and I don’t want to get home at 4:00 AM from a game that takes place 2.5 hours from my home. I used to drop $3k on club seats. Now, I’ll scalp two tickets to a 3:30 game sometime in the middle of October (if that happens) and watch the others on TV.

With all this rain, no lots will be open at all. Hovercrafts will be dispatched to pick up fans at designated locations. Asst. V.P. A.D., Stinky Wizzleteats, says TS to sad tailgaters.

November 30th - Penn State and Rutgers or 1st day of rifle buck season. Game Commission changed the date to Saturday after thanksgiving instead of the Monday. Tickets will be cheap.

Mcqueary will just bait the deer to the tailgate lots, shoot it then still make game time. Simple.

Well you will enjoy this article. Fox has decided to put the biggest games on at noon. So it is not a guarantee that Penn State Michigan will be a night game.

When do the first few games times get released?

Here's East and West Composite schedules for the B1G.

Idaho: Noon or 3:30, I'd give the nod to 3:30. Last 5 season openers: App St. 3:30, Akron 12:00, Kent State 3:30, At Temple 3:30, UCF 8:30AM...
Buffalo - I see this either being noon or night. I could see the B1G Network picking this up and broadcasting it sort of the way they did Georgia State in 2017.
  • MD VS Syracuse (3:30)
  • Sparty VS Western Mich (Noon
  • Rutgers VS Iowa (Night)
  • Ohio State VS Cincinnati (Noon)
  • Michigan VS Army (3:30)
Pitt - Stripe Out at Night! Good weather is something we've only ever tried once (Rutgers 2015) when the Stripeout is going on. Hopefully the weather cooperates and we can put on a primetime show. ABC/ESPN 8pm or could possibly get the 6PM "odd spot" that they sometimes schedule (Notre Dame 2007) - However if Franklin is given the option of what he might prefer, i'd be willing to bet he'd say make it a nooner. This is Akron we're talking about.
  • Sun Devils @ Sparty
  • Ohio State @ Indiana
  • Iowa @ Iowa State
  • TCU @ Purdue
Maryland - Night game unless we're skipping school

Purdue - Nooner

Iowa - This one could be any time.
  • Michigan State @ Wisconsin
  • Michigan @ Illinois
Michigan - I could see this getting the 3:30 slot. I don't think Harbaugh enjoyed the Whiteout as much as we did in 2017, i'm sure he'll put in a word to make "A Michigan difference".

Michigan State - Watch this be noon. Even more reason for us to come out flat

Minnesota - Likely noon, but could possibly get the (PSU VS IOWA 2016) slot on BTN? I dunno just guessing

Indiana - Nooner

at Ohio State - 3:30

Rutgers - 3:30 ... right after the teams from over west and northwest of us get together.

Fox and ESPN alternate picks every week with Fox getting first pick. Noon PSU-Michigan whiteout game would be a bit of a downer.. OSU-Michigan will be first pick, I assume by Fox. ABC/ESPN would pick PSU-Michigan or PSU-OSU I assume. I'd guess PSU-Michigan at night on ABC and PSU-OSU at noon on Fox. Fox is funny.. claiming the Noon time slot..

It's also Rutgers.
The start of deer season, Thanksgiving vacation, a certifiable potential terrorist attack, it’s still humiliating that a BIG opponent is the cheapest ticket. Rutgers is less costly then Idaho, yes Idaho. Tell me once again why Delaney thought they would be a great addition to the conference.

Week #1 and Week #2 make since they're interesting inter-conference games. Week #3 makes sense because there's the opportunity to show the defending champion even if the opponent is blah. They'll also hype the 2017 upset in the Carrier Dome.

Also, those are the ABC games. For those clamoring for Pitt to be a night game there's still the ESPN possibility.

My inside source says it won't be televised due to the bloodbath that will ensue.
I just checked my cable guide and unfortunately it doesn’t have a bloodbath channel listed. Which is a shame, because I’m certain the expected PITT massacre would be prime time TV.
