I hate the rule. I hate the call but it was the right call. We all knew he was gone as soon as it happened.
Do you watch much college football? There was no doubt he was gone when it happened live let alone on review.

No, they talked about how they hate the rule and defended the player. Then rambled nonsense about common sense. There is no judgment with that rule. By definition it's a penalty--HORRIBLE rule but I posted "He's gone" the moment it happened. Anyone that didn't think he was gone is just biased--it was crystal clear.
The first point of contact being the helmet is irrelevant. The rule clearly says the crown of the helmet. That was the Fing ear hole

Wrong, the first point of contact was shoulder-to-shoulder then as he ran through helmets hit on their sides not straight on.

I'm sure there's a strategy, but we're playing a lot of folks on defense and so far Purdue has the upper hand in keeping us off balance.

I agree, should have went for the ball. Visiting teams are never going to get that call. Still have to play smart. Purdue is working harder, have to make your own luck.
Exactly what they said. Give up trying to claim there's some crazy conspiracy against us and that wasn't a penalty. We have much bigger issues than a correct call by a ref.

Agreed--and I hate the rule. It's the worst rule in sports. But it's the rule so we have do accept it when it's called. We can complain about the rule but complaining about the refs is illogical.
