Ellies is a RS Jr. Wasn't expecting him on this list.

Ellies is a shame, big bodied DT i thought we could use going forward

Would not be surprised to Ellies and Wilson return.......

On Olne Effner leaving and Scruggs. Could Scruggs come back or is he done. I think that he is out of eligibility. Effner plays hard.....seems to work hard, helped the team this year at OT and OG he played to his ceiling......just that the ceiling was not as high as it should be for a PSU O lineman.

I believe they both could come back.

Does being on track for a degree by this semester (or next) determine on the inclusion on this list?
Sad to see these guys go if they truly leave:

Tarburton - believe he has the Covid year, not a splash player, but certainly more than solid and would give great depth at DE

Effner, Scruggs -- same as above, will the OL ever have great depth?

Ellis -- thought he would be in the 4 man DT rotation for sure next year

Wilson -- still have good depth in the secondary and lots of recruits coming in, but he would definitely start at 2nd string unless beaten out, 1 injury away....

Porter -- for obvious reasons, but certainly expected him gone

Pinegar, Amor -- both of these guys performed above expectations this year, IMO

Can you edit the list to have 2 asterisks for those who can come back?

Is it possible a couple guys had ‘the talk’ and were told it is time to move on from football? Or could it be past injuries have taken their toll. Often it’s not just eligibility that is the determinate.

Absolutely and some who partake today may return. For example, I would be surprised if names such as Effner, Ellis, Tarburton, and Wilson didn't return next season.

There’s a few names I don’t recognize. Some guys don‘t become stars but still put in a lot of work and time. And even if they rarely see the field they are still a critical part of the team. The starters need good players to go against in practice to make thempush themselves and get game ready. A huge thanks for them for their love of the game and dedication to the team.

Posted to wrong thread… tailgate fields are empty today. :(

South Carolina over Clemson. With a win Penn State is a top 10 team heading to the bowls. Don't think it changes the NY6 scenarios much. Need Oregon, LSU, Alabama, Tennessee, or USC loss for that. Ohio State is going to need some help not to fall to the Rose.

LSU is losing to UGA. That will make 3 losses and That will do it.

Ohio State should be 5 on Tuesday--even higher if TCU or USC lose today
