A totally impressive 2nd half. To put up the numbers they did after looking dead in the first half was impressive. Zach Hicks said Coach Rhoades wasn't too happy at half time and said he couldn' t repeat some of it on radio. I guess it lit a spark, that spark was mostly Ace Baldwin, who then got everyone else going.
I don't know if this team is good enough to get a tournament bid. They rely on Baldwin to play so many minutes. Hopefully he stays healthy. Also I still don't know how well Konan will hold up against more physical players.

Hopefully that will help but I'm reluctant to expect a lot from a true freshman big man. Guards can often hit the ground running but big guys usually need time to get stronger. It can't hurt though.
The question on Miles is when. He needs to get some reps against some non conference teams. He could be a matchup problem for some of the bigger/slower Big Ten post players.
I think the real difference is the depth of this team. Shrews starting 5 were really good, but after that he lacked what this team has. Nick Kern coming off the bench makes us better.
Back in the day you didn't have the portal to draw from after the season was over. The transfer portal has changed that. It also has ruined college sports as we just saw when the #1 QB transfered from LSU to Michigan because they offered more NIL money. It is something that has helped Penn State, but could hurt them as we bring in better and better players, we will have to come up with more NIL or stand a good chance on losing them.
No, but if reports that I have read are true it was due to the amount of NIL that Michigan had offered him. Doesn't matter if he came through the portal, or just decommitted and recommitted, NIL is changing college sports into just a different type of professional sports since they are now getting paid.
