Football No. 4 Penn State trounces Purdue 49-10 to improve to 9-1

I feel like if we just fed Warren steadily the whole game against Ohio State and he could have gotten it done all by himself, along with Allar's runs. He is one bad dude, even his scowl on the sideline looks like he means business.

Well you're wrong the osu safety had hid covered all day

Fed like run? I agree.
Fed like pass? Wasn't open

Ivey & Denmark both dropped long TD passes. Pribula should have been 7-8 for ~130 yds and 2 TDs.

He's a good athlete - has good wheels, decent arm and appears to have pretty good accuracy. What I liked best was his throw right on the mark to the TE over the middle with a blitzing LB bearing down on him... He held the ball until the receiver broke open and stepped into his throw knowing he was going to take a hit. He's a gutsy kid - you could see that in the Wisco game too.

Pribula looked great. Nice passes to the 2nd and 3rd teamers who couldn't haul them in. He needs more playing time.
Giving Pribula more playing time means taking snaps away from Allar.
Smith ran the ball well today. Should PSU take snaps away from Singleton to play him more?
I really like Reynolds. Maybe Warren should sit some so Reynolds can play more.

4 pages, that's it?

What a clunker Purdue was. Completely outmatched. Worst draw of any conference member schedule wise plus Notre Dame.

Had to listen to the last 3 quarters.

Believe it or not, Smith had more rushing attempts (8) than Singleton (7) and Allan (6).

Not that I'm advocating for this to occur weekly, but it uniquely occurred today.

Yes and yes. Get a big lead and give the backups more reps. Starters rest and avoid injuries.

He doesn't have Allar's ability which is all anyone has said. Drew's superior and playing Beau disrupts the flow of the offense. We're not contenders with Beau. We are with Drew. Simple

It will be exciting to get into post-season play but my enthusiasm is on hold -- a wait and see.

I don't think we have the defense to seriously contend. There are some weak links in the back seven. When an opponent has time to prepare I think those weaknesses can be exposed.

On offense we have a good line but not a dominating line. It was shut out of the end-zone against OSU, the only currently ranked opponent so far this year. The wide outs continue to be a huge question mark. Most of the catches have been by the TEs and RBs. The biggest positive play came on busted coverage.

It's a shame because with just a few more players this could be an elite team. As it is our coaches cannot make any mistakes. They have to have the team prepared for what the opponent is likely to exploit.

Allar is the best we've ever had when you compare where he is as a Junior. Imagine an offense with Allar as a Senior and the surrounding cast that Kerry Collins had. Heisman hands down.

If he stays healthy (big IF) Allar is the best hope for a PSU NFL franchise QB. Unfortunately I don't see his team winning in the bowl games (2nd round). My bet is that the opponent will use the time to become better prepared. That said, I will have my crow thawed and ready to eat for the holidays.

All the different ways we get him the ball. I agree he was mostly covered the whole day, still he had two consecutive explosive plays.

If we made Warren our RB and Singleton a wideout against OSU, that would have been a good package.

Singleton getting fingertip tackled and Warren as our only WR was problematic against them.

PSU is going to be difficult to beat in Playoff - teams are not going to be permitted to hold & mug on an every-play basis along the OL and Defensive Secondary. Playing with non-b1g Officials is a huge advantage for PSU (and conversely a huge disadvantage for duhO$U - no way they get away with a fraction of the illegal crap they pulled on an every play basis against PSU).

I agree. Depth is important.

You meant in all games--today is fine but he shouldn't have played a single snap in the first half

LOL... Loado gets busted and creates a fantasy scenario.

He should absolutely get snaps. Makes the opposing team use valuable time to game plan for it. Why haven't you listened to the announcers all year? They are far more informed than you are.

See you proved my point--you lied then backpedaled
No other team with an elite QB subs in the backup--Beau has continually hindered our drives this year
We all know which QB is better--you don't play two
Notice this is the best you have because you have nothing

Oh give me an f'ing break - Singleton had limited touches. Allen had 12 carries and averaged a gawd awful 2.3 ypc. Allen had zero catches - he had 12 touches for 27 yards from scrimmage. Singleton had 12 touches (6 runs, 6 pass) for 70 yards from scrimmage. Warren had 7 touches (3 runs, 4 pass) for 94 yards. Warren and Singleton should have gotten more touches..... Allen less.

LOL... No, no one proved your point. What was proved is that you advocated all game to get the starters out, and when someone agreed with you, you argued. It's Loado magic... lmfao.....

Now Loado is arguing that opposing teams DON'T have to game plan for a different scheme when a different QB comes in...........

BWAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAA....

At the current rate, I hope we throw to him enough that he finishes with 1000 receiving yards for the season. He's awesome and so fun to watch.
He is awesome. I hope we only use him enough to beat Minny and rest him (along with Singleton, Allar and Carter) vs MDto keep us healthy for the playoffs. I believe this team can compete in the playoffs.

I am ready to place Warren on the same pedestal as Barkley. He is one of the prolific talents we have ever had at PSU.
He’s as pure of a football player as there is. He’s doing things this season that Heisman Trophy winners in the 1940s did: catch, run, throw, block. Travis Hunter and he are the two best total players in college football this season, and it’s a shame that only one is mentioned as the best player in the game.

I do too. Lost 20-13 to OSU which is a really good team. PSU had their chances and missed. They are right there. Just need a complete game from all involved.

I’ve been a PSU fan for many decades.
I’m also old enough to be realistic.
My personal opinion is if PSU and OSU played 10 more times, OSU would win all 10 comfortably. The Buckeyes have better athletes and better speed. Those attributes are tough to beat when other things are basically equal.
PSU had its best shot a few weeks ago. OSU gave the Nits a gift TD to start the game and fumbled away a sure TD near the goal line. A 14-point swing and PSU could not take advantage of it.
PSU can compete in the first round, maybe two, if it gets the right matchups. There are probably five or six teams I believe would beat PSU in a neutral field playoff game.

Most years I'd agree with you--other than Oregon and Ohio State I'm not sure who I'm scared of
I feel like Penn State and Texas are the same team.
I still wouldn't want to play Georgia or Bama
I'd give us a decent shot against Tennessee and Ole Miss though--definitely against A&M
So...Oregon, Ohio State, Bama and Georgia (who may not get in) are the only 4 I'd rule us out against
I'd take us over ND, any ACC, any Big XII or G5 team...or Indiana

I think PSU is not far below OSU in overall talent right now. I believe that PSU could beat this OSU team maybe 3 to 4 out of 10 times. God, the game two weeks ago should’ve been, at worst, tied with under 5 minutes to go and OSU with the ball.

When PSU gives someone a gift it is a knock on psu and the coaching staff. OSU makes mistakes and gives psu a gift and it is a knock on psu. Lol at your logic
