Generic recruiting and transfer discussion

Anyone else just love auto-correct? Sitting here ready to donate blood, catching up on my cell...and the above is what happens.:) Funny stuff! And thanks to my good friend slush (really, he is), everyone gets to enjoy.

Oh, you said no Winnie face needed -- sorry, Roar! ;)

There is a real good change Snyder comes to PSU if he believed he was a heavy weight which is what Cael recruited him as.

I tend to agree. Although it was sad to miss out on Snyder in a PSU singlet for four years, I'm not going to complain about the results they achieved. He can make it up to himself by winning an Olympic gold medal or two.

Snyder can make it to PSU by helping our new wrestler.

I don't know why pale-skinned wrestlers would go to Tosu. The white singlet on pale skin simply does not pop. In contrast, dark blue looks good on any tint of skin. :)

Oh, trust me, Slush wasn't your only friend that was going to say something. He just happened to be the first. o_O

How true ... no Winnie face needed.
It's like I don't even know this place anymore.

And yet we're still 2 for 2 with him at Iowa.

Dice is right, though he didn't quite put it in these terms -- look past 2021 and their roster is not at PSU's level. Lee's impact there, great as it might be, appears to be short term.

PS, if we want to be picky, Kemerer is the guy who turned around Iowa. Changed the culture in the room.

Young came first. It is plausible that if he was not there Kem may have not looked to the west. Never really know but as long as we are picking nits it is worth at least a pause.

Swing and a miss by me. That is what I get for going off memory. Old age and all. My apologies fellas. Thanks for the correction.

The plus side of being old is it doesn't really register on the scale of embarrassing things I have done. Carry on.

Nice pick up of Kerk btw.

Cael has a complete plan for kids.... a seasonal plan, an off season plan and offers the finest training facilities and partners around. It requires significant commitment, focus, hard work, and patience to wrestle for him. Far more wrestlers leave the program much better than they were coming in.

He doesn’t offer 3 and 4 individual titles or guaranteed spots. You follow the plan and it will work out but you are going to be severely tested. Only the best and strong survive. The elite are seeing it and coming in and more than ever. It has been a lot fun to watch, speculate, celebrate, and marvel.

For his teams, it’s all about March and staying on schedule. It’s not about winning duals. Those are just public training opportunities. The Brands, the Smiths, the Ryans, the Kolls are so far behind and many lack the discipline to level with kids about their plan. Results speak volumes.

The guy is a transcendent and generational coach after being such as a competitor. May be as good as anyone at what he does no matter the sport.

And he hasn’t even reached his zenith.

Enjoy the ride.

Andrew Long was a big time get even if he later flamed out. Helped Cael win his first coaching national championship and was one heck of a wrestler for us that year.
