From the Daily Collegian:

"Penn State
continues to be successful in its implementation of initiatives in
response to former FBI Director Louis Freeh's Report recommendations,
according to a press release via Penn State News.

"The 10th quarterly
report tracking the university's progress in meeting the goals of the
Athletics Integrity Agreement - signed by Penn State, the NCAA and the
Big Ten Conference - had a positive response to university programs,
according to the release.

"Along with the report came Sen. George Mitchell's
announcement he would be withdrawing from his position as the
independent monitor for Penn State to oversee the AIA due to personal
reasons. He appointed Charles P. Scheeler, senior counsel at Mitchell's
law firm DLA Piper, as his replacement, according to the release."
