Gesicki getting paid

It’s going to be interesting to see what the Bungles do with their other players that need to be signed such as Hendrickson. A lot of money is going to have to be spent.

Yeah happy for Gesicki but I feel like that money could have gone elsewhere as their D is a mess. Higgins is the key then we'll see what happens from there

And that # comes as apparently a "Pass Catching TE."

One of the articles I read named another player as their "Blocking TE."

So I guess things haven't developed for Mike in that area....but it doesn't matter when Joe Burrow tells management he wants you.

Way to go!
Yeah, he was virtually a volleyball player in football pads the first year and a half that he was here….then the “light went on” and he exploded. — was always a freak athlete, with a vertical of 40+ inches and a sub 4.6 . — Blocking was always marginal, but his offensive/pass catching upside is massive. — Very Good Penn State representative

I think 87 is right. I imagine they are investing based at least in part on burrows feedback. Anyone remember when Gesicki was an underclassman and couldn’t catch a cold?

That light didn't just go on. It went on because the administration gave Franklin an ultimatum, fire Donovan and overhaul the offensive staff or resign. That ultimatum removed Donovan from the coordinator position and the TE coach. He was the worst offensive coordinator in D1 history and was a horrible tight end coach. It also saved Ricky Rahne who was the worst QB coach I have ever seen. Too bad Franklin ran off Bob Shoop and Christian Hackenberg (who Joe Moorhead wanted badly). We would have won a title in 2016 instead lost three games due to a rookie DC and marginal QB play.

Defined him forever, in your pea brain.

No, but I do remember when a bunch of posters who didn't know the game became drama queens because he had 2 "drops," one of which was an incredibly difficult high-point attempt in heavy traffic. You could tell then that he was an athletic freak and there weren't any real concerns about his pass-catching ability.
