My vote...."The Shootist".....John Wayne at his best....great supporting cast as well. Movie is about an aging gunfighter who has a fatal cancer. During the filming..... The Duke was fighting his real life battle with cancer which eventually ended his life.

While there are many classics... one more recent film that stands up well is Forrest Gump.

I believe it will be considered top ten as it ages.

Yes, I have to agree about that aspect of the movie. There are no Glaciers in Pennsylvania. Also, in the early part of the movie in Claritin, is it spring or fall? Green scenes, barren tree scenes. I watch the movie every few years just to see if it resonates and it does but your point is valid.
