Guess where Beau might go

I think he ends up at some G5 school and ends up doing not much, but hopefully I am wrong and this works out for him. I am really not upset about him leaving, and it's probably better for the program and Grunk in the long term, even if 2026 isn't a playoff year. Of course that assumes that Allar stays healthy.

Hung up on?
He outperformed Greene at every turn. If you think he stinks that's cool--you're entitled to your opinion.
I don't think Beau is very good. I've said that throughout though he's better than Greene so it can't hurt
Nicco hit 66% of his passes this year--Greene was the guy hanging around 50% while throwing the ball to the other team
Beau isn't Pat White

This is based on what? You constantly complain that inserting Beau into a game throws Allar's rhythm off. What about Beau's rhythm?

I would argue that you don't know. When Beau is in the game for a mop up series we don't pass as much because we are ahead, and we don't play the first team. We are running down the clock. Otherwise Beau is coming into the game ice cold. He has to be ready physically but even more so somehow he has to make a downfield passing read without being in the game enough to get a feel for the defense.

Beau has made some great passes into tight windows. Does he have Allar's arm? No. But that doesn't mean he can't be a great passer.

I would argue that the Steelers right now do not have a QB who has both a strong arm and is a great passer. There are many other teams where this is true as well. So to say that Beau is not very good is not only condescending, but very likely just plain false.

I think you are going to be proven wrong, especially if Beau winds up on a team with a good offensive system fit.

This move disappoints me but I am 100% behind the decision given the constraints. The longer he waits the fewer the opportunities. In this case he needs a system match. Would be a great fit at a service academy, but I think his passing will surprise once he can play every down.

Beau lacks arms strength and accuracy. He took the only sack against Oregon because he has no presence in the pocket. He's a first read guy.

For Beau's sake I hope I am wrong. Seems like a good kid that was in a bad situation and I don't blame him for making the move.

He absolutely needs to be in an offense that doesn't ask him to go through progressions. That's not here. Maybe he does play for RichRod and I'll be rooting for him unless they play us.

To me, he wasnt going to be ahead of Grunk next year regardless of where Allar is or isn't.

I know you are probably joking but Pitt has a really good QB who will be a RS Soph next year. He got dinged up and that really cost them late in the season. Kid's name is Holstein who was a highly regarded recruit at Alabama who portaled over to Pitt. he was a 4 or 5 star kid depending upon the service you were reading.

Pitt is looking for a backup but Beau would have gotten that at PSU.
Yeah , that Holstein is prize bull! 😉🙄🤔

The Wisky guy who was hurt Van Dyke I think will be back. I doubt Wisky but maybe Minny if the kid from New Hampshire is gone. He could have a shot at Indiana and maybe that is attractive because of Cignetti and the potential there to win. They do like Jackson so he would be in for a battle and may not want that risk.

ACC schools are possibilities. Also what about Maryland?
Van Dyke? He gone

I think Maryland's OL is poor.

if he goes to the right system he will be a major player. He ate Wiscy up.
To be fair--against WIsconsin in a half he threw for 98 yards
Allar threw from almost 150 in the first half and that would have been about 180 if Fleming catches an easy pass
He also had a long run of 8
He played well but not sure "ate Wiscy up" is legit.

If Beau condescended to attend pitt, he would be the best QB they have had since Dan Marino.

comparing drew to beau and their games is like comparing apples to Pokemon Cards.

I'm thinking prhaps West Virginia, Cincinnati, James Madison, Wake Forest, NC State, or even an FCS program like Delaware.

What say you?
I think BP is a pretty decent QB. He should get looks from any mid-level P4 team that needs a QB.
If Allar left, BP would almost certainly be the PSU starter next year. There are many P4 teams for whom BP would be an upgrade.

I'm certain that the one outcome that BP is looking to avoid is transferring to a different program and finding himself in the exact same position as their QB2.

And can he identify a program that will allow him to start as a QB1 in a dual threat offense and surround him with enough talent to help him be successful.

He is? Based on what? I really like Pribula but there’s a helluva lot of difference from having some success as a back up, running gadget plays and even pulling the team out of the fire against Wisky in the second half and being a starter.
What more of an audition do you need?

To make an informed decision you probably need more than a half against Wisconsin--the only other games he had any meaningful snaps as a QB for Kent State, Purdue and Maryland. He threw just 2 passes in all other games plus the sack against Oregon. He deserves a shot but if he was back next year are people really sure he was going to be ahead of Grunk.

Very curious to see where he ends up as that will tell us how he's actually viewed.

It's a long shot but I bet Mike Vick will be looking for a QB upgrade at Sacramento State, assuming that hire gets done. Not the best situation but potentially a nice NIL bag.

They did reach out to him. 🤷‍♂️
I don't think that's going to work out....

What are chances that Beau leaves PSU for one year and returns to be starter after Allar leaves. Probably 75% chance that it is no but I would not dismiss it. He loves PSU and dream was to be the starter. We have no idea if Smolik or Grunk will be ready. Beau knows the playbook and approach.

Yes, he really sucked leading us to victory at Wisconsin. That was easy W and not like they had Oregon on ropes either. I may not be expert but Levis was backup who no one thought had accuracy to be in NFL, let alone starter at PSU. It was PSU system at time that did not work for Will, not Will himself. If AK makes it to year 3 then he might love having Beau in his QB system.
