hope things turn up for him. not sure the coach is going to go many more games with him unless he starts to show something.
Why? He's doing what he loves, is clearly passionate about the game, and worth millions. Why should he get on with anything other than what he loves doing? Tonight wasn't Hack's fault whatsoever. His offense sucks as does his OC who can't even get a play in on time.IT doesn't happen for him anywhere.
Time for him to get on with his life's work.

I dont know, but it does not sound like he is the one weak link on an otherwise championship squad. It’s never his fault. Not saying that is his perspective, but in a lot of fans’ eyes.
I can't do outrage till after 9 or 10.

Some things cannot be coached, Bob. The sort of entitled outlook that gives rise to real quality outrage is something you learn at a young age. Not coachable. This is really disappointing to hear after all the time I’ve spent trying to coach you up. Sometimes good coaching just isn’t enough.
He seems like a fighter who has taken too many shots- and that may not be far offI have not watched any games, so I cannot comment on his performance. However, I did see a pregame interview with Singletary. And his response to what the offense has to do better than last game was execute better. Then, the same question was asked about his defense, and again the answer was execute better. From his results in the NFL and this team, I am not sure he is the next Bill Belichick. Great player, but...
Just inquiring if you actually watched the game? The team around him blows, so who knows how he will fare. The “never Hack’s fault”’crowd will never under any circumstances accept that he’s just not that good. There’s never any shortage of other people to blame. He was erratic again tonight, missing wildly on high percentage throws. They had the backup warming up before the half
OB had one season with McGloin and one season with Hack.I'm trying to remember - did Hack play one year with O'Brien and two with Franklin, or vice versa?
So we’re really gonna have this argument between the “it’s not Hackenberg’s fault” and the “Hack sucks!” crowds each week?

Maybe the Patriots will sign him so he can step into a SB caliber team from day one and prove what he’s capable of.Why? Imagine a class in a hard part of a big city, all kinds of kids from different countries and ethnicities, shouting along in unison as Coach Bob says, "This is Booool-shit! This is Booool-shit!"Kids from privileged backgrounds have far greater access to rage opportunities than kids from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Rage summer camps, after school rage classes, church based rage retreats-it’s all there for those who have levels of entitlement that others don’t. I know some have tried to balance the field by forcing kids from disadvantaged neighborhood to rage with kids from privileged neighborhoods. But that has its own problems and issues.
I am not sure if the rage balance will ever be equitable.
And that class is right after Tong Usage 101 and Lattes for Life class.Imagine a class in a hard part of a big city, all kinds of kids from different countries and ethnicities, shouting along in unison as Coach Bob says, "This is Booool-shit! This is Booool-shit!"
Warms my heart.

from what I saw Mettelberger is third team, as last week they brought in the second guy, I don't remember his name. His first pass was an INT, and that was about it for the game.I didn't see last weeks game but I saw it last night and his WRs dropped some balls so his stats could have been better, although they wouldn't have been great in any case. But I get the impression he at least improved from Week 1 to Week 2. They're 0-2 now though so they might pull him because they're losing, although the problem last night was the Memphis's defense completely fell apart in the 2nd half.
Last night Hack had two really nice scrambles, including one for a TD. He's a good runner. He should look to run more. Then again, he did take hard hits at the end of both of them, including one in the endzone on the TD that resulted in a personal foul penalty on the defense.
The 2nd video down in the link is his scramble on a 3rd and long for a 1st down. The 4th video down is his scramble for a TD.
ETA: Now that I think more re. them pulling Hack, I don't know how good a scrambler their 3rd QB is but I know that their other one, Mettelberger from LSU, is famously a statue in the pocket and with Memphis's weak OL putting a QB like him in the game is probably no good.

The only people that need to get over it are people like you. What the hell does it matter to you anyway? He's playing football, are you? Have you ever in the big leagues? So why the hell do you care? At least he's not a quitter.Let’s get over it, he stinks
That fumble wasn't on him. It was a vicious hit to the head.I'm far from a "Hack appologist" and I didn't see this weeks game but what I took from his game last week is his OL cannot pass protect at all, his WR's dropped as many passes as ours did this season and unlike ours they can't get open or know what routes they are supposed to run.
His OC is not helping.
I also see he still fumbles too much and still doesn't have any pocket awareness but then at about 2 sec. to get the snap, find a WR and pass the ball might not be fair.
Hackenberg is a grown man and is currently paid for what he does. That’s good for him. But negative criticism from all walks of life are part of the territory. The only people that need to get over it are people like you. What the hell does it matter to you anyway?
