Happy that we won, said that My Gophers went from the high of being part of that team to stinking up the joint lately.

Not that it wasn't a huge upset, because it was, but the USA team had several players who went on to have outstanding to good NHL careers, like Mike Ramsey, Neil Broten, Ken Morrow, Mark Johnson, Mark Pavlich, Rob McClanahan, etc. They probably shouldn't have beat that Russian team, but in hindsight they probably were a medal-type team.
