Harper unplug the weekend jukebox?

Today, Saturday, is the 12th day of Christmas in the Orthodox religion (my mom's until she married my dad and became a Byzantine Catholic). In her memory, and with snow on the way, I post one of my favorite Christmas songs....Still, Still, Still by Manheim Steamroller.

Still, still, still,
One can hear the falling snow.
For all is hushed,
The world is sleeping,
Holy Star it's vigil keeping.
Still, still, still,
One can hear the falling snow.

Some more songs that famed session drummer Hal Blaine played on. First, the now classic "I Got You Baby" by Sonny & Cher. This went to #1 in 1965.

Next, two songs that went to #1 for The Carpenters in the early 70s. These come off as pretty cheesy now but this kind of music was big for awhile back then. First is "Close To You," which was #1 for four weeks in 1970. This song was co-written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, who were famous composers and who wrote several songs you'd probably recognize.

Next is "Top Of The World," which went to #1 for two weeks in 1972.

Next is "These Boots Were Made For Walkin''" by Nancy Sinatra, which went to #1 in 1966.

And last is the theme from the Batman TV show.
