Nope.. 4 guys go down and the team is still in it because of Cael’s strategy of riding 5-6 guys to the crown. No one could with stand the lose of 3 point scorers and still be in it. Those three guys will cost PSU 30-40 pts. And 2 redshirt years.
Brooks’ redshirt year is not “lost” if he wins NCAAs this year.
Speaking of injuries, I was surprised to see Evan Wick sitting things out. On FloRadioLive the other day Coach Bono seemed to indicate his team was healthy going into Big Tens.

Hawkeye fans reflexively mad that injuries being brought up as a reason we may be hampered when they supposedly weren’t factored in when they suffered injuries.
Maybe because we suffered a season ender to a returning National Champ and a U23 world teamer - not to guys who were only rock solid AAs and champs in the fevered minds of delusional Inner Circle members. Hell, those guys regularly predict high AAs for dudes like Dweiza.
A healthy Cassar and Berge and those early Murin, Young and Warner losses would be the harbinger of a 5th straight title.
Oh well. As it stands, they will win the NC fairly easily but LOL at predictions of the scoring record.

The argument could be made that the punt year and deciding not to pull redshirts, was brought on by injuries to key starters(Alton’s).
