What you say NOW, Herbie lovers? Is he still "fair and impartial"?

And he bases it on ONE PLAYER, Jackson.

Who is that Barkley fellow? I hear he is pretty good also, but I suppose he isn't Jackson?

I don't think it will matter. If OSU is in they aren't going to take a second conference non-champion which will eliminate Louisville. Clearly they don't favor B12 so will be between B1G and PAC12 champions.

The point is, what the hell is this guy doing shilling for Louisville based on Lamar Jackson supposedly beating Alabama all by himself?

And what was that shit about how Louisville is EASILY the best competition for Alabama, over PSU or Wisky?

Louisville has played a garbage schedule.

Louisville has zero chance of getting in over a conference champ...whether that be PSU, Wisconsin or Washington.

The best Louisville can do by the end of the regular season is ONE win over currently ranked team. That won't cut it

Herbstreit politicked for his Buckeyes successfully in 2014, he might pull it off for his Louisville team this year...

Grow up.
Herbie is being paid to state his opinion. I don't agree with him, but his position is not outlandish.
If you're gonna bitch every time someone disagrees, you're gonna spend your whole life bitching.

Shut the hell up and stop trying to turn a post into an attack, baby.

will you chill out dude? so he doesnt think psu is all that. who cares. with our o-line in its current state, we really are not. jesus christ man just about everyone on this board has ripped into you for your retarded opinions. you really dont help your cause do you?

Doubt the committee cares what Herbie says but if any analyst is going to be influencing them, I'd be relieved it's someone that actually knows his stuff...and few are better than Herbie in that department. You can see what you want to see in how he discusses OSU. Their resume speaks for itself right now.

No, not just about everyone. The same 8 or 9 freaks. And if you follow them, you are one of them.

I think PSU should get in, based on the cool hair cut of Marcus Allen.

Makes as much sense as what Herbie just said.

I love how he says if not for a blocked FG PSU is not even in discussion tonight. Since he had Buckeye goggles on all game let me remind him. If not for a blocked FG Ohio St did to us, a dropped punt return by John Reid, and a snapped ball out of end zone for safety OSU isn't close. We dominated the LOS all game except for one big play by Samuel.

Hey PSUrob,
Congrats....Looks like you and I are members of the Official Guns Freak Club.
I wonder who holds the other 6 or 7 membership cards.
We better learn to play nice or we'll get put on ignore.

I'm a big PSU fan, and I think PSU's defense is miles better than Louisville's defense. But be honest; can you see the PSU offensive line and a still young QB like Trace McSorley thriving against the Bama front seven? I can't. Jackson is a FAR better QB than Trace at this point in time. There is a reason he is the prohibitive front runner for the Heisman right now. I think it is at least arguable that their offense stands more of a chance of success against Bama than PSU's. But I frankly do not see any team out there that I would give much of a chance against Bama's front seven.

I like Herbstreit and always have. The difference between me and the OP is I don't hang on every word the guy says. These guys get paid to not only provide some insight but to add some drama. Why else do you think these guys take differing opinions and go back and forth between themselves? It's not that hard to figure out if you want to.

Agreed. I like Herbstreit. The problem occurs for a certain individual when the opinions going back and forth blend with the voices in his head.

I agree with what you're saying but when did who had the best chance to beat Alabama become part of the criteria for the CFP? It shouldn't really matter who can beat them because that's not part of the system.

At this point, unless U of L loses, I would put them in before us even if we were to win the Big 10 Championship game. I have season tickets to U of L and it is more than just Jackson. They have a solid O-Line, a solid RB and a very good group of receivers on offense. On defense, they are quick and as a whole a very solid unit.

I think it is complete crap the SCUM can lose to unranked team and not even budge in the CFP rankings. Clemson lost at home to an average at best Pitt team and barely moves. Then you have Washington who lost to the #20 team in the country and got knocked out of the play off picture. This whole CFP poll crap is no better than the tradition polls or the BCS crap we had prior.

Thankfully, OSU or SCUM will lose at least one more game and drop out of the picture. I do think U of L is one of the four best teams in the country this year. I think they are the only team that could give Alabama a run for their money this year.

I love our team, but even if we win out, I do not think we are one of the four best teams in the country. I hope I am proven wrong. We Are!!!

Penn State has the best case to make against tOSU because of the head to head win. If we win out and win the championship, we are in. Those are both big ifs. Wisconsin lost head to head with Ohio state in Madison. If Wisconsin beats us, its on a neutral field. tOSU lost to us at our field with a white out after we had 2 weeks to prepare and they faced Wisconsin in an overtime night game the week before. I can see Wisconsin getting left out before Penn State.

As far as who is the best team. I agree that on paper we are not the best team in the country, but unlike Louisville, we win as a team. Alabama will not be able to focus solely on one player to beat us. That being said, I don't think we can beat Alabama this year and being seeded 4th in the playoffs is no prize. I wouldn't mind a trip to the Rose Bowl.

Why do people talk about Alabama like they are unbeatable? Ole Miss had them beat and blew it. A mediocre, unranked Ole Miss team. Alabama has a freshman QB, and a defense that while very good, has been gashed by a few teams this year. They are far from unbeatable.

Not surprised. ESPN owns the ACC network now. And since 2 SEC teams are out, they have to such up to the bosses and push ACC. I know one thing. If Louisville gets in over the big ten champ, assuming it's psu or wisc. I won't be watching the playoffs. Won't give them the ratings. Louisville doesn't deserve it at all. Beat nobody. Struggled against some bad teams. I'd take a 10-3 wisc over the honestly
