Mad Men is an acquired taste; I'd call it sophisticated, and may take a while to get into.
But IMO it is one of the greatest episodic shows of all time. There were regular posts on this board from fans here who loved the show when it was airing.

Oh - almost forgot, Peaky (Fookin'!) Blinders!!! On Netflix...

Cillian Murphy is the best mob boss since Tony Soprano.

Check out "The Night Of" on HBO from 2016. Single season. 8 episodes. Very well acted. I must admit that I love John Turturro. He played the role James Gandolfino (who was a co-Producer before he passed) would have played. Highly recommend if you like a crime drama.

The Outsiders on WGN is pretty good and IMO there's nothing like Friday Night Lights

Fargo is good, but it is a lot like the movie and the prior seasons. The basic story of each is some ordinary joe gets mixed up in a crazy scheme involving a psychopathic bad guy and a small town female cop pursues them.

I don't know that that is entirely fair or accurate - there is a certain trope (average guys get way in over their heads with some 'bad', police are involved, things take crazy twists and turns, etc.) but Noah Hawley has done a nice job of making each season appear fresh - S1 was the most basic version of this trope, S2 expanded it and set things in the 70's; and S3 has been the most dramatic shift to date - one episode set entirely outside of the midwest, two characters played by one actor, and a plot that, four episodes in, that has yet to fully reveal itself. There are nuances too that really add to the experience - for example, last night's episode, where a voice over from Billy Bob Thornton explained that certain orchestral instruments, when played, represented characters from 'Peter and the Wolf' (which were represented by characters in the show); or the previous episode where they used animation to visualize a science fiction story one of the characters was reading. Stuff that you don't see too often in other shows.

I was busy at the restaurant when we were writing back and forth. Don't make everything in your life so damn serious. Do you have a family yet? If you don't or just starting out give it time you will lighten up.

Of course I have a family, a challenging career, interesting hobbies, and because it's a reflection of me...the desire to make posts that not only make sense, but also contain proper grammar and spelling. So "busy" is an understatement. There is no time to binge watch TV. Do you have a family yet? If you don't or just starting out give it time you will understand what "busy" really means.

A lot of good shows here everyone. With amazon prime I can pretty much watch everything here. I have my work cut out for me. It will be a good release from heavy summer business here at the beach!
