Loved when the Washington player was dancing around with the ball claiming he recovered a fumble and Bates whacked it out of his hands.RYAN BATES!!
Fantastic game until the last offensive snap.
That was a vintage Penn State offensive line performance. I honestly feel that if Ryan Bates had not been injured in the first half of the Ohio State game we would be getting ready to watch Penn State in the Rose Bowl tomorrow afternoon.PHENOMENAL
Seemed like Wright and Bates split the playing time pretty evenly. Preview of next season at that position?I’m gonna have to rewatch it, but it looked like Wright was pretty effective vs Vea.
Our line seems to perform best against supposed #1 Defenses (Mich). Maybe just tell them the guy in front of them is #1 each game?OL surrendered 1 sack, racked up 202 yds against the #1 rushing D and protected a QB that went 12/12 on 3rd down. PSU's offense doubled what Washington's 8th overall in team D gives up in total yards and points.
This was absolutely huge for the program with 4/5 starters back and what the depth looks like on OL moving forward.
They seemed to only rush 3 a lot and Sanders made a lot of key blitz pickups from what I could see.Pass blocking was very good- gave Trace lots of time. I can recall several plays where he was able to look off the primary target to another receiver.

That play was replaced with the shovel pass.No play calls that involved the qb and running back standing flat footed next to each other for a second after the snap tonight definitely helped. Hope that trend continues.
