The one before the rose bowl? When they were given roses after the game and had in their teeth. Anyone remember that. Coldest game I EVER went to.
Our son, daughter, and their spouses were at that game. They said it was incredibly cold. I have a framed picture of the players on the field they made for me during that game. The one before the rose bowl? When they were given roses after the game and had in their teeth. Anyone remember that. Coldest game I EVER went to.
1. You worry about a freaking mosquito biteI worry that cold snowy conditions could be an equalizer. I realize that PSU should be more used to cold weather but tough weather can lead to turnovers. All we need is a cold wet ball slipping through a WRs hands and becoming a pick 6. Of course I hope that doesn't happen.
PSU 461. You worry about a freaking mosquito bite
2. The ball is heated on the sidelines before every snap. It's unreal that people don't know this.
3. Cold weather is most definitely NOT an equalizer when one team is used to it and the other team is from Texas with 95 percent of its players having no idea what 20 degrees and wind chill means.
Jesus Christ you are tedious.
I heard they went commando that game! Or, was it the crowd went commando that game! Since you were there, which way was it!?! LOL 😂A friend invited me to a Buffalo Bills game many years ago when the high temperature was -2 degrees. I thought he was insane but my host had a RV and I wore many layers, gloves, a ski cap, and handwarmers. We sat in the lower bowl so we were protected from the wind. It was ridiculous but manageable. Of course the players can't bundle up like that. I was amazed to watch receivers go over the middle knowing they were going to take a big hit. I seriously don't know how they did it.
That’s the game. Night game I believe.Clark was also our qb in 2009. You are thinking of the finale vs Sparty in 2008.

This, by the end of the 3rd quarters, there was only about 1/3 left in the stands.1987 vs ND. Bitter cold, wind and flurries.

Do you have to curse the name of the Lord? Clean it up.1. You worry about a freaking mosquito bite

Beat them and their Heisman winner, Tim Brown. Players commented they hated hitting the frozen ground.1987 vs ND. Bitter cold, wind and flurries.
My old roomie and I didn't have anyone within 20 seats in any direction in NE (prior to the upper deck). This, by the end of the 3rd quarters, there was only about 1/3 left in the stands.
Well given the turnover problems SMU has had this year, that's not good news for them.I worry that cold snowy conditions could be an equalizer. I realize that PSU should be more used to cold weather but tough weather can lead to turnovers. All we need is a cold wet ball slipping through a WRs hands and becoming a pick 6. During the Christmas season of all things.Do you have to curse the name of the Lord? Clean it up.

They missed a heck of a finishThis, by the end of the 3rd quarters, there was only about 1/3 left in the stands.
MSU 2008. I was offered tickets in the upper deck to the game and saw game time temp was like 24 degrees. I declined and remember at kick off it was snowing in a swirling upward direction. It was cool to watch on my lazy boy. Daryl Clark was on fire. He hit Deon Butler on a play action fake screen and was wide open for an 80 yard TD. One of the best schematic and executed plays I’ve ever seen. They missed a heck of a finish
Flew in from Phoenix for the game. Myself and 2 buddies squeezed into 2 seats right behind ND bench. Loved watching Heisman Trophy winner Tin Brown cry to refs when Trey Bauer stole his lucky gold towel. Also, iirc scumbag Ricky Watters kicked Bauer in the helmet on an out of bounds play, almost starting a brawl.1987 vs ND. Bitter cold, wind and flurries.
1978 PITT indeed was cold AF. had first row end zone seats at the opposite end of our game ending goalline stand. Jumped down onto the field and literally jumped on a pile of PSU players, somehow not getting hurt....1978 Pitt was pretty cold.. how about 1995 Michigan?
Goalline stand? Were you in the endzone where Guman scored on 4th and goal?1978 PITT indeed was cold AF. had first row end zone seats at the opposite end of our game ending goalline stand. Jumped down onto the field and literally jumped on a pile of PSU players, somehow not getting hurt....
Wrong. The coldest game ever was Penn State vs Pitt 1980. Lost 14-9 while driving for the winning scoreI was at that game. Coldest I have ever been.
94 vs the Raiders. Look it up.I heard they went commando that game! Or, was it the crowd went commando that game! Since you were there, which way was it!?! LOL 😂
Agree. About 10 years ago I get to meet Lou Holtz at a business conference. I say coach you and I actually share something in common... what's that? We were both freezing our nuts off at the 87 ND-PSU game. He says " you're right, coldest damn day of my life and we lost!" Great memory.1987 vs ND. Bitter cold, wind and flurries.
