LMAO--it has everything to do with their record in those games
Which is under 500. Powerhouse team that always seems to find a way that is 27-29 when it matters with neutral refs.

We agree-they're under 500 (fact) which teams usually have a worse record against good teams than bad teams. It's logical without your conspiracy nonsense.Which is under 500. Powerhouse team that always seems to find a way that is 27-29 when it matters with neutral refs.

Because, since we joined the Big Ten, Ohio State has generally played better teams than we haveExcept PSU is 30-20-2.
So how can 2 teams that always seem to be clutch in the Big 10 with shady calls always involved be so underwhelming on neutral terms?
Because, since we joined the Big Ten, Ohio State has generally played better teams than we have
Even when we made the Orange Bowl in 2005 we played an awful FSU team that went 8-4 and struggled to beat them, why was that?
The reality is--bowl games no longer matter and haven't for a very long team unless it was relevant in the title hunt
That's why the playoff is great--we'll see how we fair in that--hopefully in a little over a month barring a complete collapse.
Sorry, when did the "bullshit start"?Except PSU was 500 vs OSU when the bullshit started.
There is little difference in the records we cited. How many times did PSU play Georgia, Alabama, Clemson (at their height) etc. in the playoffs? The top southern schools are very good. The games are also played in the south. Quality of opponents is the biggest factor by far in determining a record.
OSU lost an important offensive lineman on a thin line and was playing with a third string quarterback who had virtually no reps during the whole season. Osu's offense was absolutely pathetic, but it's defense played hard.Agree, my son is an OSU grad and went to that game and was not a happy camper afterwards. OSU just laid an egg and acted like they didn't want to be there. Shame on them

You just have to wonder how much longer some of the lesser Bowls will be around with all of the main focus now on the 12-team playoff.Because, since we joined the Big Ten, Ohio State has generally played better teams than we have

It's a great question--probably for as long as ESPN wants to televise the games honestlyYou just have to wonder how much longer some of the lesser Bowls will be around with all of the main focus now on the 12-team playoff.
Do you know who they played in the Rose Bowl? The PAC 10 Champion, often USC. Always a tough opponent. Again, has PSU been in the playoffs since (until this year) 2014? If so, who did they play in those games? What was the result? You're so full of shit - over the span being discussed, the most common Bowl duhO$U went to was the Rose Bowl and they have a losing record there and didn't play a single SEC school in the Rose Bowl. Again, PSU's record in Major Bowls over span is 17-7 with almost all of these games played against top ranked teams going into Bowl.
Why are you arguing with him? He keeps trying to slam OSU who has beaten PSU 8 straight times. It's 2024, not the 1900s. You're not going to get this guy to say anything positive about OSU and probably Michigan and now Oregon. Remember, according to a couple on the board (most are reasonable fans), the B1G is out to screw PSU anyway they can.Do you know who they played in the Rose Bowl? The PAC 10 Champion, often USC. Your post is essentially correct. I just cannot believe the number of posters here who believe the B1G is rigged. Amazing. OSU was never going to fire Woody over his record. He is a legend at OSU, just like Paterno is at PSU.Why are you arguing with him? He keeps trying to slam OSU who has beaten PSU 8 straight times. It's 2024, not the 1900s. But if I'm being honest, Woody and Bo were basically out of date as coaches and I remember them getting their butts handed to them several times the last century - especially Woody who was favored in several huge Rose Bowl games when he could have won a NC or two with wins. He finally snapped when he hit that Clemson player. OSU should have forced Woody out a few years before that as his record and recruiting was declining fast. Sad situation
Welcome to my hell as they think that's what makes them a true Penn State fanYour post is essentially correct. I just cannot believe the number of posters here who believe the B1G is rigged. Amazing. Could not be further from the truth.Nobody is out to get Penn State. Football at this level is a fast, complicated, physical game. Officiating can be difficult and subjective. Try to enjoy the game. Hell, PSU has the same record as "duh OSU" correct?
E- E-EE-E-EE-EE-E-EPitt posters are coming up with a conspiracy that officials are throwing their game to Virginia so Virginia can make some 3rd tier bowl game
The AD. at Utah accused officials of stealing the game against BYU last night at the bequest of the conference.
Is it possible that officials are human and make mistakes? Crying like this leads to people assaulting little league umpires.
1 no it would exist even if that didn't happenCould not be further from the truth.
1. Instant replay exists in CDB because of the chicanery against PSU.
2. A Big10 official actually told a OSU player that “your just lucky to be playing football”
Who cares if conference plays opens at home or on the road? I've never understood this. If rather play conference openers on the road to start as long as it's not Ohio State.Several years ago I was posting about the crap that we deal with in this conference. I mentioned even the little things like starting the majority of our conference openers on the road. I forget what Buckeye poster called me out for being a typical paranoid PSU fan, and that the process was totally random, until I took screenshots of each of our schedules. Funny he never responded back. And we are still “randomly” getting screwed. What is it now, 2 home conference openers in the last 15 years.
As far as officiating goes it been awful all over college football this year, especially many "reviewed" calls - there is just no consistency. OSU, yes you’ve been the better program for many years, one of the best in the nation in fact. Congratulations. But you’ve also benefited from far too may bullshit calls in our meetings over the years. And many game changing calls or missed calls, so forgive us if we don’t see the “randomness” of it all.
I think replay should be implemented on penalties. I saw a few terrible face mask penalties that were totally missed by refs and I don't see how!!!!! Maybe the w at you can challenges in the NBA.Most do not agree with you - this is one of many articles published by independent sports media (hit the following HOTLINK):
