I put this on my steak all the time. Does that get me banned from this forum?
Aside from dry seasonings to taste prior to cooking, a properly prepared steak shouldn't need to have anything else put on it. Ketchup? A-1? What's the world coming to?
He can put it next to Latte Bob's man card. No, but you need to temporarily hand over your man card.
You should try Peter Luger's steak sauce - not only good on steak but on thick cut bacon.Aside from dry seasonings to taste prior to cooking, a properly prepared steak shouldn't need to have anything else put on it. Ketchup? A-1? What's the world coming to?
Mix Ketchup and A-1 you got Heniz 57 Sauce.
i was at an awesome shophouse in Detroit many years ago when my boss put ketchup on a very expensive steak. The chef came out and confronted him on it. We never went back.My dad always yelled at me for that

Some people make too big a deal out of this kind of stuff....who cares what people put on any of their food? People like what they like. I put mayo on just about every sandwich I eat. I make my own steak sauce at home, but use no steak sauce at a restaurant just because it’s not mine. I like ketchup on hot dogs (along with mustard and relish), but I hate mustard on a hamburger. I’m not sure when it because socially unacceptable to eat what you like on your food.
The bigger question is does he eat it with milk? And is he anti chicken?
In kc he may well be run out of town

You're right, but the thinking is a well prepared steak is best with zero or minimal accompaniments. A $10 strip steak no one cares about - but when you're talking a cut of Kobe beef or filet mignon, we're not talking about just 'food' anymore. It's the difference (for some) between mixing a Jack and Coke versus a Van Winkle and Coke - one is totally unnecessary. Might as well eat a hamburger, you know?
I get the thought process, but if someone likes a good cut of beef, but they like it better with ketchup, who cares? It’s their taste preference and they’re paying for it.You're right, but the thinking is a well prepared steak is best with zero or minimal accompaniments. You'd be surprised how big a thing food snobbery is in some place. Where I live people that don't buy organic food are looked down on.
I agree about Mahomes, who cares what he eats, he's not hurting anybody.
No, some people do.I think the article is just being humorous. Dont think anyone really cares what people put on their food.

When President Donald Trump sits down for dinner in Saudi Arabia, caterers have ensured that his favourite meal — steak with ketchup on the side — will be offered alongside traditional local cuisine.
