so they pivot and talk about the freezing cold and they move cantors to Vermont lol.

Sister had plan flight yesterday to Aruba and they cancelled it along with 2k other flights in us. All because of the hype.

No rain at all yesterday in Boston. Nothing.
They cancelled it ahead of time and moved it to Monday.
I think it is still raining in Boston. Now she leaves tomorrow am but roads may freeze up. Crazy!

If the weather channel doesn’t know what is happening then just say so. I know I know they must get everyone in alert but they alerted at first 210 million in its path. Then 105 million.( their words) then they put is at millions. Lol.

Well until the next storm gets hyped. Good luck digging out of 2.8 inches of snow in Indy. Etc.

How much snow did you get. Anyone south of state college get snow?

Just rain in Jersey. We had a bit of ice last night, but nothing to be worried about. The concern now will be ice on the roads when the temperature dips sharply tonight.

We got zero in NoVa - just some rain. Wife had a flight to Japan and she said Dulles was a ghost town (probably due in large part to very little government travel).

Harrisburg (Midtown). We got a couple of inches and lots of freezing rain

Back Mountain of NEPA is getting hammered. EPA weather(the best) was dead on correct for my part of the world.

They got it wrong for my area of New Jersey. They said snow would start in the late afternoon, resulting in 3-5" accumulation and then it would turn to rain. They warned of icy conditions. We got no snow. Rain started at about 8 p.m. with a little ice, but no build-up on the roads. It turned to heavy rain overnight.

I’m about 25 miles away in Clarks Summit. They said 12 inches of snow but got around 5 inches of snow plus wintry mix plus rain and the rain has melted some of the 5 inches of snow. Need to clear anything that needs to be cleared now because it will turn into ice later.

Here in Tennessee there were, as usual in this hysterical society we live in these days, standing in line for hours cleaning the shelves off at grocery stores. We got 1/4 inch on surfaces above ground and a few leaves setting on the ground the same, The ground has nothing on it. Same old hyperbole for the sponsors of weather channels and websites, I am afraid. What ever happened to real life?

Snowing heavy right now in Dallas/Lehman....don't know how much rain we got overnite but it seems like quite a bit....swale in my yard is really mushy..

Up the road from you in East Benton Twp.. Nothing like shoveling 50 lb shovelfuls of iced up snow. At least my bypasses didn’t blow!

Not sure how the commercial ban on I-76, I-276, I-476, and I-676 worked yesterday but driving on the Blue Route was a breeze and I don't think the rain/snow started until 5PM so not sure why they implemented it so early. It was strange.

Level 3 snow emergency where I used to live in DE county Ohio (roads are closed except for emergency personnel). Not so much here in Naples, FL where I am visiting my daughter from up north (Sarasota that is).

It was as difficult of a storm to predict as there is. A shift north or south by 40 miles would change everything dramatically. It went north just a bit, so it changed a ton of accumulation to rain.

It’s not an exact science, and it’s impossible to predict with total accuracy when such a small shift can change it so greatly.

1" in SW Pa this morning. Major bust from all weather groups but I am happy I don't have to shovel or plow.

Got about an inch of snow here in Kentucky after about two inches of rain yesterday. Temperature is 16 now. Didn’t make for a fun drive at 5:00 this morning but should be clear for my drive home in an hour or so.

About 7 inches in Happy Valley - completely saturated seven inches. Very heavy but got the car dug out before the big freeze later. What you need to realize is that the forecasters don't have very good data on current temperatures especially aloft. That is why they have "spaghetti plots" - they need to make slight changes to initial conditions because they know they don't have a great picture of the current climate. With that said they sure as heck seem to know that in 10 years the world will be a fry pan and the poles will have melted, blah, blah, blah.

Not far from Delaware Cty in upper Union. We got 3-4 in the morning, then rain that knocked all that down, then at least six inches on top of that plus the wind and drifting.
I’ve got the vehicles opened up and running to get the ice off them and I’m working on the driveway. It is a heavy snow with two to three foot drift poles wherever there was a leeward spot to drop the blowing snow.
Half way down and it’s 5 degrees. At least the sun is out.

We're in NY this week- got about 8" in the southern tier, there is about 16" at the house in MA

You have to fill 24 hours of programming with something. Like the 24 hr news networks. Overstatement draws viewers

The NYC news started hyping this storm this past Monday. All week we heard what a monster it was going to be. In my area of northern N.J. we got a coating of snow and then it turned to rain.
They did the exact same thing with one of last yesr’s late storms, with similar results. And the one we had this Nov they completely missed and it took people hours to get home from work as no one was prepared to clean the roads. Seems like forecasting has taken a 30 year hit and we are back in the 80s, when they missed often.
At least I got a laugh of them showing people racing out to Home Depot for shovels and ice melt. Because no one has a shovel from last year. Just nuts.

21” + (drifts up to 3’) waiting for me outside this morning here on the shore of an angry Lake Ontario... another foot due today of lake-enhancement...

Had to shovel an area out for my little dog to take a whizzzzz #notfun

Having a few cups of coffee before i clear out the garage door opening to get my snowblower out

do you enjoy it?
this is why I moved out of the lake affect region

Welcome to the new America. "News" is no longer fact, it's hype. Oversell, throw in some fiction with fact, provide biased / one-sided information. Weather media does this so you will watch and increase ad revenues. CNN, ESPiN, HuffPost, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC all do the same.

That and the extra intrusion of warm air really cut down totals into PA

The home of Arnie P. , Mr. Roger's and me. I will use my leaf blower to clear my driveway, I will be back in a minute..... I'm back. Brutal. A great way to stimulate canned goods and toilet paper sales. The weather people have a lot of misses these days.

Always interesting the wide variance in the Centre Region. I went out last night and measured about 4.5" at 8pm. This morning I measured right around 3" in the driveway, packed down and wet. I'm on the east side of the Boro.

The weather channel has really become commercialized. If during this “ storm “ they were sponsored by Sun tan lotions we would all be on our way to the drugstore to load up on products to counteract Sun glare.

Northern Lebanon county. Original forecast was for about 8" of snow followed by 1/4-1/2" of freezing rain followed by 50 mph winds. I live back a 1/2 mile lane, so you have to be prepared. Put the snowblower on the tractor, brought in the generator, got gas for the heaters, stacked in plenty of firewood. I figured we'd be iced in and the electricity would be out.

Turns out that we had about 1-2" of snow followed by rain. Turned into about 1/2" of slush, which I pushed of the driveway. I'll still get iced in today, as the water won't drain off the lane before it freezes. But, doubtful the electricity will be out.

Northwest suburban Chicagoland, had 12” of snow at my house Fri night-Sat early morning. Pretty ugly day yesterday, 11* right now.

Looks like a MUCH colder week or two.

2+ feet and counting in rural Erie Co.
We get more than Erie - snowiest city in the U.S.
250" a few years ago!
Even more than Lebanon Co.

20 miles north-east of Providence we have 2 inches of slush. They are saying it’ll be pure ice by tomorrow

Can’t accurately forecast weather a week away, but we’re certain that we’re doomed 20 years from now because of climate
