putting out interesting Tweets. Not sure how to take these.
Parsons just tweeted “Really need a change in my life.”
Followed by...
“Man everything not about football, stop acting like football is who I am! I am more than a football player’!” Parsons

Anyone care to take a shot at these?

Drinking way too much Pepsi this fall, and ready to switch back to Coke.

Who knows, may not have anything to do with football. Old guys shouldn’t try to interpret the twits of an 18 year old

Micah is exactly right. Everything is not about football.

yes he was ... dont ****ing lie ... go back and watch the recording he lined up to far side steps up in, takes him self out of the play by biting hard, then tries to get back outside and is chipped by #84 ...

state damn facts!

He was in on one play. A 2nd down and goal from the 1.5 yard line. If you think he was responsible for that TD you’re a ****ing idiot

YOU stated "He wasn’t in on their first TD" when in fact he was. the original comment did not blame him for michigan being down there. But on that play the poster who said he has no idea, is correct. On THAT play, he had no idea what he was doing, he did in fact take him self right out of the play. Those are just the facts.

would michigan score the next play, maybe. on fourth down maybe. that wasn't the original statement.

now go take you anger on someone else. Like maybe jerk off or something. the Trump administration is looking for people to work in communications. Send in your resume. with your use of facts I can see you at the podium.

Yeah. I screwed up. That one play he was in proved as the poster said he has no idea what he’s doing, after saying he’s not good

Therefore I can only conclude that since Devin Bush was in on Stevens TD & He ran the wrong direction, away from Stevens. That he also is not good and has no idea what he’s doing.

He was also in on Mcsorleys TD runs last year. So Obviously he has no idea what he’s doing whatsoever .... good to know

But again .... yes I incorrectly stated he wasn’t in on their first TD.

I’m also sure that Paul Posluzny, Dan Connor, Sean Lee, Lavar Arrington, Shane Conlan and Jack Ham were in on plays where qbs ran around an end for a td from the 1 yard line while they were in the gam ... good to know they all stunk

One play does not make him good/bad. It does not make any player good or bad. if you want to argue he is good or he isn't cool, I didn't say he wasn't good, nor did I say the TD drive was the result of him playing. I am a fact based person. The stats say Micah Parsons is Penn State's best tackler. What those stats don't say is where those tackles take place, or how big of impact those tackles have had.

But it would be factual to say Micah Parsons has played like a freshman who is playing a position that he is not all that familiar with. which could be argued is making him "not look good at times."

one thing I do know the first four guys you mention all made plays their first year that made you say ... they are beyond freshman. Then again all those guys were natural LB's.

Also based on the tweet i saw Franklin saying post game " We did not play well. We did not play well today. It's very important how we handle it.” makes me believe that the staff believes, they had the guys in the right position

He’s a tremendously talented young player who needs time and experience to reach his full effectiveness. He was playing high school ball last year, and is a leading tackler on a DI team this fall.
As for Twitter, I can’t tell you how glad I am that it didn’t exist when I was 18. It encourages inexperienced and generally ( based on age) immature people to share impulse and unfiltered thoughts. I’m sure I’m not the only father here who told his kids to think before they speak or react. Twitter encourages the opposite.

Seems like people reading into player twitter posts as if twitter exists solely as an outlet for football emotion

Just taking a stab at what he meant-didn’t he become a father not so long ago? Maybe he realizes that his identity is not all about football.
He's what 18 and balancing 1st year of college, D1 football, a new position, a kid, and who knows what else. Franklin said Micah also wants to play offense and wrestle. That's being 18. Stay focused and the sky is the limit, but when you are 18...

No idea about the first tweet, but the second one is clearly a response to everyone that assumed the first one was football related.

The responses to the first tweet were embarrassing to see adults assuming he was talking about transferring, quiting, etc and begging him to stay, yada, yada.

Dude’s team just got man handled and he’s stressed out. Don’t hang your hopes for this team on the tweet of 18/19 yo man after a loss (or a win).

Well, not being a Twitter fan or a Twitter user I wouldn't read to much into the tweet. They just got beat out of their lunch money for the month so it's hard to tell what he meant? That said, Parsons will be a great player in time! He's learning a new position so what can you expect? He's also leading the team in tackles and he doesn't play all the time or start. So I'd say that's a pretty good start for him!

Ya. As someone above said, we were SOOOO lucky not to have had social media years ago. Thanks to Twitter, we are forced to interpret the inner thinkings of some kid who's team just got their a$$es kicked in a football game. I have already made an assumption which isn't good. I never asked to have to make that assumption, but just the fact I read what the OP posted has forced me to.

Even if I change that assumption, the Tweet is now most likely memorialized somewhere. The kid will have to live with this tweet for the rest of his life and explain it if anyone ever asks him about it whether it be today, or 100 years from now if he's still around. Heck, his grandchildren may be able to read it.

If I'm a future employer, I'm searching every social media outlet I can think of to get into this kid's head so as to judge his character. When I was his age, if I was pi$$ed, I verbally bit(hed about it, and then it was lost into history. Even if some douche reporter wrote it down, I could always either deny it or say it was taken out of context. Not now!

Really pity these kids. My advice to Micah. Just get the heck off of Twitter. It is NOT your friend.

Yea WTH is Franklin teaching these kids? They should be doing push ups right now
Just saying. Lots of priorities before football.....family, school.....etc. Football is temporary with fleeting honor. But a lifetime of dedication to family, friends and work is lasting.

Watch him on Michigan's first touchdown. He has no idea what he's doing.

The kid is learning a new position. Versus Iowa, Taylor gave him an earful for what appeared to be a coverage issue.

Tough situation for him.
