Yes. Hard no from me.Just curious what the "baggage" is that would preclude Meyer from coaching at PSU?
So to be clear. If Meyer were announced as the next PSU coach, some of you would be upset?

But we’re a pretty good Big team just as Iowa is….that’s what matters most to recruits. Bottom line, the coach at PSU, Iowa, Michigan State, Wiscy, has to be able to recruit because the program isn’t recruiting itself any more especially with the down turn in talent in PA.Eh, I'd say PSU and Iowa are quite a bit different.
History, 100,000+ stadium and the proximity to much more talent.
Either you did not read the list or you lack knowledge on these men.Is this a joke? No matter how much you hate Franklin, you can't possibly think that all of these guys are a step up. With the exception of Luke Fickell, hiring any of these other guys just sends a message that you have no interest in making Penn State Football a national program.
Believe he was gone by thenDid Fickle ever have any crossover with Yurchich at OSU?
Any thoughts about bringing back O'Brien? He did a very credible job with the loss of many players. Coached Brady for years and is now QB coach at Alabama. He might be interested in a return to HCing. You could use his toughness against OSU and MichiganReplace Franklin because he doesn’t win enough and hire a guy who’s 29-23 since 2017 (Shaw)?

🤣
So who are the other fish?
Do they come with their own bag men or do our large Donors have to supply that link to become “Elite”Is this a joke? Toughness and fortitude is desperately needed. Stat.Any thoughts about bringing back O'Brien? He did a very credible job with the loss of many players. Possibly too many offensive coordinator changes. If Mike Yur hangs around, I believe we’ll get more hits from some good QB recruitsSo this great recruiter, who desperately needed a quarterback, could not convince a decent kid to come to his program? That’s what this comes down to.
If that’s his goal he would have found an NFL coordinator job.
With a team that needed an OC, QB coach or TE coach?
And Bill O’Brien is already a proven CFB HC…winning records for 2 seasons with 50% of a roster. We'll see. Kiffin, Locksley and Sarkisian all leveraged their positions with Saban into college HC jobs. O'Brien is aware of that and chose to make this move

Aside from BOB, do Georgia, Alabama, OSU, any other top team have any hot coordinators?
I honestly don't think I would want BOB back. Great coach, but he admits hating, and stunk at recruiting.
Marcus Freeman defensive coordinator Notre Dame and Dan Lanning DC Georgia are two hot names. Alex Grinch DC Oklahoma formerly at tOSU and wazzouAside from BOB, do Georgia, Alabama, OSU, any other top team have any hot coordinators?

Callie Brownson of Dartmouth. Please share your list. I have no idea who would be realistic as a good fit and who would likely take the job.
Grinch was terrible at OSU and not doing so hot at Oklahoma.
Not saying he is the second coming but but he dramatically improved them in year 2 last year and lobbied the tOSU and Washington State gigs into the job at Oklahoma.Grinch was terrible at OSU and not doing so hot at Oklahoma.
Looks like Rhule is trying to get fired. 😉Greg Roman
David Shaw
Matt Rhule
Leach is a circus actI would seriously like to see Mike Leach at PSU. I think he would like PSU and it would be a good match
My list of I was being serious .Meyer
Rhule
Fleck
Anyone else would be a huge step down.
Man I hope not. Best qualified candidate. Picking someone based on color, woke central. Just what we need, giving someone an insane amount of money because their skin is the right shade to put up 8-4 seasons….brilliant!!I would expect that if we were to replace Franklin that the next coach would also be a black man. Not that this is relevant but I believe that the next President to replace Barron will be either female or a minority, perhaps both. PSU is trying hard to increase diversity among its student body and these hires are part of that branding strategy.
Is there a contest going on to see who can post the most misinformed and asinine comment about Franklin that I wasn’t told about?Leave? He should be escorted to and dumped at the border of Centre County.
Well, 20 years ago I said we should hire Nick Saben, and people said I was nuts! Well, hindsight is 20-20, but wound that not be a great hire. At this point I would settle for one of his assistants, Bill O'Brien! Please share your list. I have no idea who would be realistic as a good fit and who would likely take the job.

He would at least be interesting…2-time National Coach of the Year.I would seriously like to see Mike Leach at PSU. I think he would like PSU and it would be a good match
And he doesn't seem to mind lighting a fire under someone's ass if it's needed. He would at least be interesting…2-time National Coach of the Year.
