Who has a platform, and you wanted chat with this person with regards to Nassar, the MSU community, the aftermath since 2012 in the PSU community...... what key points or critical issues would you want them to understand - and possibly write about?

Looking for your input.

TIA

Louanna Simon is a poopyhead.

Does he want the truth about PSU? If he does (which I doubt), then send him to JZ's website.

What similarities and differences do they see in Sandusky vs. Nassar? People in the MSU community seem to think MSU had no fault regarding Nassar while PSU was totally to blame for Sandusky. They're taking the lead of Simon in thinking they are above reproach while pointing at Penn State and saying, "See how bad those people are?"

We here on this message board know the differences and actual facts. Let's list a few.....
  • Sandusky was retired and PSU had no leverage over him. Nassar was employed by MSU, although they're splitting hairs and saying he wasn't actually PAID by MSU.
  • Sandusky preyed on boys which is seen as much more salacious, deviant and newsworthy. Nassar preyed mostly on girls which sadly isn't seen in the same way.
  • Very few of Sundusky's offenses took place on campus. Most of Nassar's took place in university facilities.
  • PSU received one fuzzy third hand report which was then sent up the chain of command as required by policy. In fact, they followed what are now the current NCAA guidelines. Nobody was ever told to keep quiet. MSU received multiple contemporaneous first hand complaints and those people were threatened with consequences if they told anyone else.
There are many more but that's a good start. Since it's an MSU beat writer I'd have my doubts as to whether of not they're truly interested in doing anything to burst the MSU bubble of denial.

Another good question to ponder in one of these columns is, "At what point does the problem rise to being 'institutional?'"

The "double standards" applied to the two very similar cases, especially by the NCAA, the BIG and the Media.

To me, the cases aren't similar at all aside from each being connected in some way to a large university. The individual circumstances aren't really close. If Nassar did the exact same thing except for his activities being confined to USA Gymnastics, nobody would be drawing parallels to PSU.

Interesting that their BOT somehow survived the storm. Additionally, some of the admins/staffers who received first-hand reports of abuse directly from the victims somehow remain gainfully employed at MSU.

People who live in glass houses.............Pedophiles, abusers etc. can easily hide in plain site in schools and universities.....institutions in general. For President Simon to act in such a sanctimonious manner was incredibly short sighted and ignorant. Actually, it sounds like Ohio State had its own pervert.

One other thing. Blame the folks that actually screwed up. Not the fans and alumni of the university--or the sport. By those standards, everyone who watched Olympic gymnastics is "guilty".

I would simply be interested in knowing how the Nasser situation has affected his/her/their view of the Sandusky case vs. how it's (largely) been presented by the media.

Keep everything civil.., level headed... can’t appear “ emotional” over such an emotionally charged issue.

I would certainly pony out the hypocrisy though., even using Simon actual Quotes about Paterno/Penn State.

What happened at both schools has been tragic.., frankly the only ones to blame are the guilty scumbags who committed the actual crimes.

However... Simon felt it necessary to make public comments... point tigers... as well as the ass clowns in Emmett and Delaney.

Now... hear Simon sits... has she ever issued any follow up statements... like.., “ maybe we did not know all the facts and certainly know now... how something like this can happen?”

Nope... she is in complete denial and again was in a position of authority while on the disciplinary committee of the NCAA... Inbet she even voted to have us suspended from the BIG 10...

She is... a coward.

It seems pointless to ask the question if the answer is always "It was TSM's fault."
There he is, the "Ole Turd in the Punch Bowl". Thanks for playing...
