No offense but thanks Captain Obvious! The Eagles have no offense.

73 is turribleYep, but once Johnson went down the line play is nonexistent. Pound the work and move the pocket. Slow down the pass rush. Five sacks so far. Going to lose a quarterback playing like this.
Disagree. I think he was confused on the sack, but outside of that he isn’t the problemVaitai is playing terrible for an injured Lane Johnson. Big difference since he went out
No game thread from Tom and no delegation of the game thread to ILLINOISLION?
Eagles leading, 3-0, nearing the end of the first quarter and moving the ball well right now.
I’m not watching the game at all. Just responding to the suggestion made based on my own observations over the past 15+ years.Your eyesight is worse than mine if you think the refs are helping either team tonight.
That was Tom’s “courtesy game thread delegation” to me last week since the Eagles were playing Da’ Bears.....and he felt sorry for me!![]()
I'm kind of happy for you. We all understand suffering as fans of one team or another, and the Vikings haven't been in the Super Bowl since 1976 (SB XI). Ouch.As a Vikings fan just wanted to let all know that the Vikings have already clinched the NFC East
28-10 Giants
38-20 Eagles
19-9 Redskins
28-24 Cowboys
If they played the East 4 times a year they would be 16-0.![]()
Did they win that one?? Or any??I'm kind of happy for you. We all understand suffering as fans of one team or another, and the Vikings haven't been in the Super Bowl since 1976 (SB XI). Ouch.
Nope. 0-4. They were in 4 of the first 11 and lost them all. They lost to the Chiefs, Dolphins, Steelers and Raiders. The loss to the Chiefs was considered a huge upset. I haven't seen it in a long time but the NFL films documentary of that one is great. It's the one with Hank Stram mic'd up for the game. Chiefs won 23-7. Come to think of it they weren't competitive in any of their SB losses. The Dolphins team was great. Fran Tarkenton spent the whole game running for his life against the Steelers. The Steelers and the Raiders both just physically mauled them. I just looked up the box score from Super Bowl IX. The Vikings had 21 carries for 17 yards against the Steelers. The Steelers rushed for 249 yards on 57 carries. Guess the Steelers won that LOS.Did they win that one?? Or any??

Yes. They were pretty boring games. The first "good" game was the Steelers/Cowboys in 1976. The Steelers won 21-17. I guess Super Bowl V was kind of a good game. The Colts beat the Cowboys 16-13 on a Jim O'Brien field goal. I just checked that box score and it wasn't a good game. Pretty ugly. The Colts had 7 turnovers and the Cowboys 4. I guess it was a good game in my memory because the Cowboys lost.A little bit of a side note here, and maybe this is just my reccall being poor...Weren't the first 20ish Super Bowls really boring for the most part? It wasn't until the 80s that we had some really interesting games.
Really? So when the Jets beat the Colts as 1000 pt underdogs , that was exciting?Yes. They were pretty boring games. The first "good" game was the Steelers/Cowboys in 1976. The Steelers won 21-17. You're right. Very exciting at the time because of Joe Willie and his bold prediction/guarantee and the upset. Colts were an 18 point favorite. Changed the league forever. The game itself would probably be considered boring by today's standards though. Very different game. It was certainly not "well-played," at least from the Colts' perspective. They had 5 turnovers. Johnny U was 11-24 for 110 yards, 1 INT and a long completion of 21 yards - QB rating - 42.0. Earl Morral was 6-17 for 71 yards, 3 INTs and a long of 30 yards - QB rating of 9.3. Of course, defense ruled in those days. One bright spot for the Colts on offense - Tom Matte rushed 11 times for 116 yards.Really? PSU would have turned their QBs into Johnny U - in his prime.Imagine if the Colts had faced our secondary.![]()
