I'm going to the Fiesta Bowl next week and am excited, but this game doesn't have the feel of.......

last year's Rose Bowl game. Maybe because we didn't win the B!G Championship, or Washington just doesn't have the same appeal as USC did. I think this will be a very tough game for us as Washington has a very tough defense, but we should win this at the end!

I agree.

Still a big time game the team needs to win. These seniors deserve to go out on a winning note!
 
I agree that the anticipation was higher for the Rose Bowl - largely due to the energy that the team's unexpected success provided everyone, but I think the Fiesta Bowl experience itself may be better because we aren't playing against the equivalent of a home team like USC was. The USC fans are mostly locals, not alums or folks affiliated with the school in any way. They are the same mentality and as the Raiders fans. Not really that pleasant a group with whom to experience a bowl game. I think the UW traveling fans will be more like the PSU traveling fans - a mix of energetic students, passionate middle-aged fans, and some wealthier, more subdued alums. I am anticipating a more pleasant experience comparable to most bowl games.
