Or you listen to Blackledge who's one of the best in the business

OL seemingly has been struggling in run blocking for much of this season...just can't seem to crease people despite the QB and all world TE we have.

Not much running room for PSU so far
Yeah, seems like we can't run the ball at all anymore. Perhaps the defense is overloading the box some but we barely get to the line of scrimmage.
It's such a fine line--the creativity is what makes the offense go but sometimes it's too much
Allar's dealing right now--trust him
Boy Wisconsin's secondary must be pretty good because the past four or five drop backs drew won't throw the ball.

I think it’s time for our defense to come up with a turnover. On this drive. Right now.

Wisc doing a good job not over playing all the window dressing
We are going to need to step up and make some basic plays in the pass game

Why has Omari basically disappeared?
Also like to see #85 get a target

This team has to learn they can't keep waiting till the 2nd half. Eventually it comes back to bite you. They have to get a TD drive with 7:49 left in the 1st half.

Zane huge tackle there
Or in the second half the talent gap takes over which is what this game looks like so far
I hope so but PSU is not playing well on offense & special teams. If, and I understand if, Wisconsin receivers were catching the ball PSU would be in big trouble.

They are taking away Warren and our WRs aren't great at creating separation
Against Wisconsin you don't fear their offense so you don't take the risk you would have last week

I can't with the inability of people to comprehend what they're seeing and thinking Allar can't read a defense
My God--people are going to be so confused when he's playing on Sundays

I don't doubt that PSU should pull away in the second half, I'm just a little concerned that they seem to wait to adjust until after halftime. I'm not sure that approach works against an elite team. That said, they just need to do what they have to do for the win.

We don’t have a great pass rush
No pressure
It’s not holding either
We just don’t have a burst

Good fire and leadership from Drew gathering the O like that

Come on D. Give them the ball.

Their DTs are holding their ground, Ends are doing decent setting the edge, and LBs are flowing, tackling well vs the run. Just solid defense. We switch between blocking schemes a bunch between the variety of personnel groupings and plays we run.

I'd like to settle in on something for a drive. Duo, inside, or outside zone. Something.

7-3 probably doesn't make any of you feel good but it also feels like Penn State is by far the better team here. Obviously scoreboard is the only thing that matters.

Now Locke is starting to look like a Heisman candidate.................. Can't let them hang around.

It's a tough situation. It seems that they're more than willing to wear down opposing teams in the first two, two and half quarters and then in the third and fourth quarters, they look to move a little quicker, taking advantage of the other team tiring. Obviously they want explosive plays more often than not but I think they're willing to "wait" for them as well, if that makes sense.

The reality is--two botched plays (the punter running for a first down and Fleming's drop) is the only reason this isn't already a blowout

This is a terrible 1st half once again with Wisconsin driving. Still seeing lots of PSU defenders trying to knock runners down with shoulder tackles instead of wrapping up and Wisconsin has open receivers.

Why can't James Franklin ever go on the road and just have his team ready and dominate? Always 3rd and long break downs, special teams asleep, offense like crap, make other qb look like Montana. Wisconsin isn't ranked. This shouldn't be close.

Everyone calm down. We're clearly the better team.
No idea how this is terrible. 2 plays are the difference from this probably being about 17-0

I definitely like that strategy, but my concern is, when they face a team with equal or better depth, how is that going to work?

You're wrong--I literally went back and watched it on Peacock--I do that while watching NBC--and you're wrong

Warren sat down on the right hashmark with 1 guy 5 yards and another 6 yards away toward the middle. Allar could've easily thrown it Warren by throwing it a step or two away from the defenders.

This feels familiar. Offense is moving the ball but not finishing drives because of drops and penalties. Only 7 pts.

Opponent's quick release passing neutralizes our aggressive defense.

Wisky is hanging around.

That's the issue with this defense. It doesn't create turnovers. Our LBs are not a strong unit either.

Amen. We miss that quick twitch guy we've grown accustomed to. These ends need better interior rush help and outside of Durant, that's been nonexistent.
