Over the past seven or eight years, many iowa athletic supporters have treated us like shit as though iowa owns college football. iowa hasn't won the Rose Bowl since 1959. Now, I am no expert, so correct me if I'm wrong, but that is not very good.
And let's hope it stays that way.Over the past seven or eight years, many iowa athletic supporters have treated us like shit as though iowa owns college football. iowa hasn't won the Rose Bowl since 1959. Now, I am no expert, so correct me if I'm wrong, but that is not very good.

Two possessions, two Stanford touchdowns. 14-0, Cardinal. iowa hasn't shown up yet.

Stanford interception return for a touchdown. 21-0 with 4:07 to go in the 1st quarter.
There was an interesting documentary about an Iowa team in the mid-80s that lost in the Rose Bowl...it was a Hayden Fry team......and the thing that was so weird about it (and that was the point of the documentary....not so much weird, but "a fixed game") was that the star running back for Iowa (Ronnie Harmon) had several fumbles (3 or 4) and a dropped pass when he was wide open in the end zone. Harmon had only 1 fumble all season. The documentary did slow motion etc.....some very questionable drops by Harmon.....not really relevant to your post.....but I found it to be a surprising (because I never heard anything about this) and interesting documentary.how often has Iowa even played in Rose?? I cannot remember a year in modern era where they even played in Rose. I was surprised they even were picked over OSU this year. the West teams were a bit weaker than BIG East side this year.

https://theaccreport.wordpress.com/tag/ronnie-harmon-throwing-the-rose-bowl/I didn't see that documentary but IIRC that was the year Michigan played at Iowa in a battle for #1 in Iowa City(??). Chuck Long was the Iowa QB I think.

You are correct.....same season....and with Chuck Long....slow night so I looked it up......I think this link works that implicates Ronnie Harmon.....if I did not do the link right, it was an HBO report.
Shaw shows his class throwing the ball when they're up by 3 TDs......jerk!
