Then they lose Petersen, Ayala, Caliendo, Kennedy and Endene, about 60 points for the following year.

The Hawks will be much closer to 100 points behind than they will be to 50. They had a great tournament this past year and were 96 behind. They don't generally have great tournaments so having back to back great tournaments is probably not likely.

I don't know who won't place, but the Hawks will not have 9 AAs. Most likely 6. They will not have any champions this year.

Or saying Spencer was a disgrace because he wasn't happy about his silver medal an hour after losing?

Let's not pretend this is isolated to one fanbase. You guys do this stuff too. If an Iowa guy got caught with a prostitute, this board would be on fire.

In regards to Palacio et al. reveling in Snyder's mistake, just like the wrestling fans cheering Nickal getting TKO'd, it comes with being such a dominant dynasty while also projecting a public image of faith/gratitude/sportsmanship/etc... When a program acts like their shit doesn't stink, that creates resentment. Just the nature of the world. So people get satisfaction by pointing out the contradictions.

Snyder projects an image of a devout Christian family man. People are going to jump on this for the same reason they jump on preachers who get caught with hookers: hypocrisy.

Again, the glasses thing was funny because it was so absurd and hilarious. I hope Spencer's mom can look back at that and laugh with us as well because it was a genuinely iconic and funny moment in sports history.

I didn't see anyone say Spencer was a disgrace for saying silver was disappointing. I don't doubt what you're saying, but that's not something I would ever say about him (or any other olympic medalist).
