Irv Charles at IUP

I understand he's going to give back his one catch, giving him his full 7 years back.
seeing we were down 13-3 at home to Minny, it was a pretty big catch, IIRC. Here's a trip down memory lane...
It's a shame when you look at that catch and the Juwan Johnson catch v. Iowa in 2017 that these guys couldn't finish it out for us.
1 catch or not it was a damn big one and completely turned around the 2016 season. Say what you want about him but without him or that catch 2016 never happens.
Irv and Juwan - oh, what could have been.....
and then the lion package completely wastes that awesome catch.
Please God no more lion packages with Levis.
If this has been in the works, he might get 2. The D2 clock is 10 FT semesters. I would be surprised if he's been FT since getting the boot. D2 teams stash guys by making them PT in the Spring(can't practice) and then use that 10th FT semester in the Fall to get a 6th season(to play 4).

Wouldn't it be great if he had a 1000 yard season and made an NFL training camp next season? God knows he has the tools.
O my...he’s going to absolutely own people at the D2 level in the PSAC with his size and skills.
Indeed. The entire season could have played out very differently is not for that play.
something about watching SB score that TD... the realization we had something incredibly special.

2. I met him once in the hotel lobby on a road game. He was very polite & gracious to my two young daughters. Several other players walked by, but it was Charles who stopped, said hello to my girls, thanked them for supporting the team and took pics with them.
So, you'll never catch me saying anything bad about this guy and I wish he blows up at IUP this year and goes on to have a 10-year NFL career.

Crazy physical talent, but simply could not control his emotions. Every time you watch the BT title game against Wisky you see those back to back drops that were just EASY catches you shake your head. Then you think about his need to get personal fouls or holding calls on limited snaps. If he could have ever just cleared his own head and played ball....he could have been a legit threat.
Yup. Some guys are just frustrating. Have all the physical tools to be successful, and for whatever reason they can not stay focused, or have the discipline to take it onto the field. Hopefully for his sake, the time off allowed the light bulb to go off in his head, and he can translate that into a monster year at IUP. Every year there are guys from that league who get NFL shots.
