pretty much nothing or nothing? Kind of a big difference when trying to get a guy eligible. This means pretty much nothing anymore and probably dead in the near future.

You know Cael didn't say kerkvliet was ineligible , just that he is on Olympic red shirt.Do you think they would be pulling Nevills redshirt if he was?
If this is true then my guess is that taking an Olympic redshirt is the loophole to avoid having to take the NLI penalty and having to lose a year of eligibility. So he either takes the Olympic redshirt and gets 4 years of eligibility or doesn’t and can’t wrestle til next year and loses a year. So the Olympic redshirt is a no brainer. You know Cael didn't say kerkvliet was ineligible , just that he is on Olympic red shirt.
I think that is just an Ivy League requirement.Doesn't the Olympic Red Shirt usually indicate that the athlete is not enrolled in classes?
I think jefe explained it the best. He is OR this year. If he doesn't OR then he loses a year because he didn't fulfil his NLI and he has to sit out a year. I agree I don't think he goes at all this year because he isn't eligible I don't see how he could be eligible for any reason actually. While I understand he's not going this season, I'm somewhat surprised that no one here seems to know definitively whether or not he is even eligible to go this year.
