Is Nick Lee eligible to enroll at PSU?

You are arguing something that has no basis in fact. PSU is not ranked number one, that is the way it is right now. Not everyone believes PSU, as is currently constructed, is number one. In fact, not one single poll believes it.

What are you even talking about anymore? Yes, Penn State is not #1 in polls right now, that is true. No one has disputed that.

That's because they are not polls. If they were, almost everyone would have PSU #1, because they would account for bonus points and some intangibles not used by rankings.

My favorite part of message boards is when certain posters say the SAME DAMN EXACT THING OVER & OVER, 500+ TIMES OVER THE COURSE OF THREE OR FOUR MONTHS.

Thats just so awesome when that happens. It's exciting.

It's like a BRAND NEW IDEA or DISCOVERY whether I read it for the 1st time, the 6th time, the 87th time or the 438th time.

It's just so awesome.

Alex Steen and the boys at The Open Mat beg to differ. Literally.

TOM and WrestleStat both calculate projected Bonus into their rankings and both have PSU #1 in their Tournament Rankings. Many of the other Rankings do not factor bonus into ranking. As to "the other teams can bonus too" thing.....take a look at the last 7 National Tournaments since Cael has been HC at PSU and tell me which team has averaged the highest bonus production per year.....take a look at the "Most Dominant Wrestler" stats that Tom Mc posted and tell me who is in the Top 3 positions and 4 of the Top 10 I believe.... Just because all teams can "potentially" bonus doesn't mean they will all produce the same number of bonus points!

You, NOT "no one", YOU. YOU are the one arguing. YOU need to clarify what you are arguing.

I think you probably need to relax. I believe we will the National Title even if we aren't ranked #1 at this time.

LMAO, you brought this, not me. I posted the rankings, 6 of 7 services, in which we are not number one. That's right now, not March. Hopefully things play out differently in March.

Yeah, I am the one that needs to relax. Not the one fidgeting for the caps lock key like he's been under Zain for 2 minutes.

Here is a link to the WrestleStat Tournament Rankings - HIT THIS HOTLINK. Like TOM, WrestleStat includes a projected bonus component for each team as well as placement points....interestingly, TOM and WrestleStat both have PSU #1 projecting them to score approximately 128 points.

I'm really enjoying people coming in to defend a position I'm alleged to have taken but never did. I need to take this board with me everywhere.

Cael,Cody, and Casey always preach go out and let it fly. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, don't be afraid to lose.

Them going against their word to Mark Hall and his Dad about redshirting this year (think I heard that), and/or throwing Nick Lee into the breach, and/or flipflopping Jimmy/Cortez or Nickal/Cutch because they're afraid to lose would strike me as highly hypocritical. I don't see it happening.

The argument can be made that they're smarter than everybody else. I'm not getting a sense of them being overly concerned about achieving team goals this year.

An article was recently posted on this topic regarding JG with direct quotes from Cael. Cael basically said he told Jimmy that he was fine and all he needed was more belief in himself, because Cael told him that he had the talent to win the whole thing, but to do so, he cannot wrestle tentatively....he's got to develop extreme belief in himself (i.e., confidence) and just go out and let it fly. Essentially, Cael said he still believes very strongly that Jimmy can beat anyone in the Country and told him precisely that.

You are on ignore, I took you off to see this, not back you go to ignore. Have a great day.

I wish the irrational ones on this board would understanding something. IT IS NOT ALL ABOUT WINNING THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR. Yes, Cael and company will work hard ("trust the process") to achieve 2017 individual and team goals. But they will not do this by jeopardizing the long term plan.

Mark Hall said in an interview the other day he plans to be here for 10 Years! Cael is building a dynasty. Wrestlers are not coming here to win National Championships ... they are coming here to win World and Olympic Championships. The NCAA's are just a stepping stone for these talented kids. You don't screw up this message just because there will be a close NCAA championship race. Just sit back and enjoy the ride!

Could you clarify your position, please? I think there remains one or two ounces of horsemeat on that carcass, which clearly needs to be beat off.

I think most teams/fan bases would be thrilled to have 50/50 odds to WIN NATIONALS. Its thrown around here like thats an awful predicament. We're a spoiled lot.

Ohio State won the national championship two years ago.

Yes, but they won it with only 102 points - one of the lower winning scores in recent history. In 2015, the top 7 teams scored over 65 points (including PSU in 6th with 67.5 points) which is a ton of teams scoring quite a few points which is why daO$U won with such a low number. daO$U also crowned 2 NCAA Champions in 2015 (Stieber and NATO) - Snyder (2nd), BoJo (3rd) and Courts (5th) also AA'ed for daO$U, so most of their scoring was off of placement and advancement points and don't think they generated nearly the bonus points that PSU typically does especially in the 5 Championship years (and this year's team looks a lot like those teams with the firm of Retherford, Nolf and Nickal, LLC presiding and their up and coming partner Nevills).

Please! Let's not talk about beating off meat. This is a family board.

Problem is everybody is afraid to reveal their plan to Cael.

I think every "plan" in existence has been suggested on this board these past few days. The only plan I haven't seen suggested is to drop 141-197 down a weight and insert Cassar.

I think there is no shortage of armchair quarterbacks willing to share their plan.

So in hindsight the redshirts cost PSU the title in 2015. They likely would have won it with their redshirts in the lineup. Yes I understand the redshirts were a plan to reload but in hindsight they probably had enough to win that year too.

On the coaches show last night Casey let it be known the coaches regularly check the message boards for guidance.

Instead of all this bickering we are running out of time. We need to focus and come to some sort of resolution so the staff will know how to proceed.

I believe come Saturday the current configuration will have a dominant(correct spelling) team victory. However I understand the partial collective concern, so I propose something similar to Flying Tiger (just bigger) Jimmy to 133, Zain to 141, Jason to 149, Vincenzo to 157, off with the redshirt and Mark Hall to 165, Bo to 174, Cutch to 184 insert Cassar in at 197 and leave our big Nick alone at heavyweight.

Now remember, we need to agree soon or the staff won't have enough time to implement the championship plan.

Casey, how did I do pushing this forward?

I will filibuster any plan that doesn't include Rasheed at 197.

If this brings your vote on board I concede Rasheed to 197, save the possibility of the 6th year for the raptor.

How ye vote fellow message board fellows?

Can we move forward with a plan. The staff, the team the future awaits.
