I read a bunch of stuff about moving the Dec signing period up to maybe August. IMO that would be a disaster because of all the coaching changes that happen at the end of the year. The Rich Rod firing is a small test study because they don't have the elite recruits others do. But each year we continue to see major coaches change jobs after the year. Can you imagine the collateral damage if you have an August signing period and dozens and dozens of Top 100 kids want to decommit after the head coach they signed on to play for left State U for tens of millions of dollars to coach at another State U?
