It appears we get to VOTE on the White-Out Game

I voted for Army and was told there was "a processing error". I went back to the site and it told me I had already voted. Hmmmm....

It appears there's a number you have to enter (e.g., making sure you aren't a bot) at the bottom. Not sure if that was your issue ----- that number is kind of hidden down there.

I voted for Army too.

I did notice that and did what it said. Maybe I got the message in error. Anyway, It does say you can vote daily so I'll go back tomorrow. GO ARMY!!! Update...my wife just voted for Army on her computer and it went smoothly, so I guess my fears were unfounded.

Rutgers fans are voting for Buffalo. Aren't they precious? They are being urged to participate in yet another PSU thread on their board. I grew up in NJ and never had any reason to disparage them. Getting into the B1G has unleashed the haters apparently. It is sad, self defeating and not typical with the dozens of alumni I know. Maybe it is age related, as they are all now, more slightly senior citizens.

That makes sense. They know Buffalo is more worthy.

I doubt the "vote" will determine whether or not which game is a white out. Money and TV ratings seem to take care of that.[/QUOTE]
I agree. Something tells me most votes will be for Rutgers, even if none are.

Michigan/Army or nothing at all. Rutgers will probably pay penn state fans to wear red shirts like they gave to the homeless in detroit for their bowl game since no fans would go.

This is a dangerous game. I expect opposing fans will block vote for a crappy game to make a joke of it. That said, to me there are only 3 options (in order).

1 - None. The attendance concern for the UM game and complete lack of any other "move the needle" opponent on the home schedule make this my choice. One could argue that even UM is a stretch since they are in rebuild mode, although I think their name alone will still make for a good game.
2 - Michigan. They are the one and only marquee program on the home schedule. If not for being scheduled near Thanksgiving I think this would be the no-brainer.
3 - Army. As was first suggested on this board, it's never a bad thing to roll out the red carpet for the service academies. I think it's a classy gesture, but I like whiteout games to be part of a frenzied atmosphere for big games. Army will not create that atmosphere, but given the respect for the service academies I'd be OK with giving them a whiteout game.
