Technically the jury found Jerry guilty of 4 of 5 felonies from the shower incident so it's inaccurate to say "Not Guilty" on all those counts. Those 4 counts/convictions on their own merit were enough to put Jer away for 25+ years.

I've seen that stated over and over as fact but if we're gonna fight this let's try to be accurate in the response.

I think Wendy means that the damning portion of the grand jury presentment, and Mike's tepid testimony to that, was dismissed by the jury.

which does seem odd. The jury found Mike credible that he saw grooming behavior, but not the IDSI. That is really the atomic bomb that destroyed Paterno, Spanier, Curley, Schultz, PSU, and got us all labeled as pedophile enablers.

of course, Curley and Schultz were muzzled as rebuttal witnesses by the OAG . . . not sure how much of Mike's testimony is believable on its face . . .

Franky "I Stash Anal Sex Images On My Computer" Fina -- in my opinion - escalated Mike's testimony. I've told Mike this. Fina didn't need that "crime" to prosecute Jerry. He did need it however, to nail Tim & Gary really good, in hopes of getting them to flip on Spanier.

Of all the crimes that Jerry committed that have been reported on, which one stands out in the public consciousness - "Mike saw a rape in a shower". Fina destroyed Mike's life over this singular lie.

Fina & Tom Corbett destroyed a lot of lives with their bullshit. I wish Penn State would push back on those two, since they are not in public office anymore. I wish Mike would push back on their bullshit - Fina and Beemer don't give a rip about him.

Like I told Will Hobson at WaPo over the phone the other day - arguing over what Mike saw or didn't see is just circling the drain - take this story back to Tom Corbett's Office of Attorney General and tell it from there.

He's convinced PSU Admin effed up & that there are more terrible lies out there. Which I don't know - and none of us out here will know unless Second Mile is properly investigated.

I told Mike that there are no winners in any of this - and as a resident of PA - I am just so angry at the conduct of my state officials. Which is something I can publicly rail about. That's my right.

As someone who doesn't live in 168XX zip code - I have made an effort to bring my concerns to local & state decision makers.

I think to change the narrative - the imagery of Mike standing before a microphone stating that Fina placed a lie in that document and destroyed his life with that lie, along with so many others - would be the ticket.

Will his lawyer allow that? I dunno. I don't know how this works. The entire thing is just such a shame, and it was all manufactured out of Harrisburg by politicians and lawyers. Good people and their families got swept up in a media firestorm and burned - and now we are expecting another set of politicians and lawyers to clean up the aftermath.

There are no winners.

As for Jay's article, I don't believe I saw jay use quote marks from Mike's testimony, he could of easily quoted directly.

I would invite everyone to go re read the testimony and tell me Mike has changed his story. I would invite you to reconsider Jay's statement as well. I don't believe jay was dishonest but it was a very open to interpretation statement that hit a point across. It was a way of representing Mike's words without being detailed or looking at other interpretations.

I stand behind Mikes testimony. I think he has been direct and honest.

I will let the name calling commence or just re start.

This meeting is mentioned in the ESPN "Whistleblower's Last Stand" article by Don Van Natta and is confirmed by three players who were in attendance. Now I would ask both Mike and his over-zealously supportive relatives, wouldn't this show a trend in how seriously Mike considers reporting alleged molestations to the proper authorities? If he was indeed molested/abused as a child...whom did he tell, if anyone? If no one...then that alleged offender could still be out there abusing children to this day. There isn't much gray area here...either Mike is an honest, stand-up guy who always tells the truth, does what's right in the moment and sticks to the same stories...OR...is a compulsive liar, who tries to cover his tracks with convenient fabrications, especially to avoid the appearance of guilt when caught either gambling, sending inappropriate texts/photos or cheating on a spouse.

I think that compulsive behaviors are likely one very good explanation for where MM (and his family/supporters) find themselves today. Just a guess. I imagine that is a sword hanging over his head. (I gather I am the only one who imagines that.)

I think there is also an elephant in the room....that being the business investments of some individuals (maybe his own, maybe those of his support group, maybe both.) Just another guess that I have patched together from things that have been implied in threads in the past.
