I mean no criticism towards you personally, but I'm amazed how rare it is these days for people to discuss the nfl without bringing up fantasy football. It's not just here. I see the same thing on another message board I frequent.

It accounts for a very large percentage of the interest in the game, so yeah.

That is not the same as outrage....
I think it's a good thing. Lots of people involved that otherwise wouldn't care. Been this way for probably 20 years now. The NFL certainly loves it.
Tomlin called some players "too jv" a few days ago. The Liar decided PSU NFL players were "jv." I guess James was varsity today.

I kind of see it both ways. I used to play in multiple fantasy leagues (now I don't play at all). When I did play, I was much more engaged in what was going on in the NFL (big picture) than a I am now. In 2017, I couldn't tell you who the top fantasy players are, but I'm just fine watching the Steelers, and locally following the Eagles. The NFL is far less interesting to me than it used to be. College football Saturday is much more interesting to me than NFL Sunday.
The NFL certainly doesn't love the reduced number of eyeballs tuning in of late, at least part of which is due to the rise of fantasy football.

On my BENCH. Would not have mattered, I got my azz kicked anyway. I will be with you guys after this year. I'm done with fantasy after 16 years. Won some, probably lost more. My team this year is going to set new lows.
My extended family is from Washington. My parents were each the only ones among their siblings who moved out of D.C. I live in DMV and consider myself a fourth-generation Washingtonian. I got cousins out the wazoo here, each of us a Nationals and Redskins fan.
I much prefer college football, but I see no need to gamble on the nfl (or anything else).

Yeah, we all wish we had him on our roster and starting yesterday. I'm a Steelers fan and I like James. He's not going to get 2 TDs every week, though. He'll be lucky to snag two more TDs the rest of the year.
He's a solid TE. He's not great, though. The Steelers have tried desperately to replace him the last couple of years without any success. They signed Ladarius Green to a big deal and he was hurt most of last year and when he played he was awful. He's no longer with the team. A few weeks ago they traded for Vance Macdonald who was a second round pick by the Niners a few years ago and he looked bad yesterday. He had a drop and a big holding call.
