Joey McKenna to PSU??

6 champs is going to be a very tall order.

5 this past year was an amazing run.

That said, I do expect 7 Nittany Lions in the semis Friday night, possibly 8.

What happens after that ? Well, I guess we'll have to tune in. :D

Because HR is convinced money is the issue (the latest domino), they have been fundraising. What do they do when, inevitably, it brings them no closer to a title?
The thing about rationalizations. When you are done chewing one, there is another readily available. I have been told they go well with corn, so HR will have plenty to chew on far into the future.

Keep trying to convince yourself that you don't care. Clearly Cael dominates your thoughts
Damn straight he does. Their board has turned into an obsession just like the Pitt board is to our football program. It's laughable. DT sucks, Zains no good, and Cael cheats, steals recruits, and uses a slush fund. It's a shame how that board has been overtaken by a few posters.

I'm getting intoxicated in Milwaukee and checking the boards... Preach.

I don't think McKenna transferring to tOSU will affect the dual meet very much (tOSU has a shot at the dual with or without him), but it will make the NCAA's tighter. I welcome the competition!

I'll set the over/under to the number of starters that Tan Tom "rests" in the PSU dual at 1.5.

Ohio State had 12,000+ in home attendance for last year's PSU dual and Ryan rolled out his B-squad.

That's true, although a key one was B Jordan, and he was battling injury. I think that they might really like to win it this year, if everyone is healthy. A big factor could be if NaTo is able to get down to 125 and be as competitive as before.

McKenna would crush Cortez...Not even close....Take him down let him up tech fall...Cortez needs a lot of work on his feet....WOW this would be unreal and outstanding for PSU...Bet he wins 2 National Titles at PSU....He has 2 years left....He would be great in our room plus it would get him over the hump as well to win an individual Title and team Title....RBY would still be fine...He is a Jr in High School...A red shirt would be great for him to get better in the room before his run to 4 Titles....PSU's room is SICK....Love it !!!!

Should be talking about Joey McKenna for 141 next week which would be even a bigger get.....Fingers crossed but i am pretty confident from what i have heard....Keener 133 and McKenna 141....

They better keep building if they want to beat us. They all have a long ways to go. IMO. Book it for several years.

HMMM??

I have it at 2 (3 if NATO is at 125 and starving himself)

last season's dual:

125: Suriano defeated Jose Rodriguez by TF
133: Carpenter lost to NaTo by TF
141: Gulibon defeated Pletcher by dec, 5-3
149: Zain defeated M. Jordan by TF
157: Nolf pinned Anthony DeCarlo
165: Joseph majored Cody Burcher, 11-1
174: Hall pinned Justin Kresovic
184: Bo defeated Myles Martin by dec, 8-2
197: Cutch lost to Kollin Moore by dec, 6-9
285: Nevills lost to Kyle Snyder by major, 9-19

Rodriguez, NaTo, Pletcher, Jordan, Burcher, Martin, Moore, and Snyder were starters.

DeCarlo was in for Ryan. Kresovic was in for BoJo.

Ryan seemed to be battling injuries during the season (never really clarified), and reports are that he's done with wrestling due to the injuries. BoJo battled injuries all season.

With the huge crowd that tOSU had for the PSU dual, it was unfortunate that they didn't send out their best squad. And while I do think Tan Tom manipulates things at times, I don't hold him responsible for 2 guys not being able to go in the dual due to injuries.

Tom Ryan said:
The only reason I would have sent out Bo Jordan is ego.

Nato will not beat Nick S. Nick is a lot stronger than Nico just ask Zain. Nato being very strong was a match up problem for Nico. Plus Nick will go forever. Come March Nato is going to suffer. You can only fight your body so long.

Saw the twitter post by Snyder. Is McKenna confirmed at O$U? Who were those other guys beside NATO, Snyder, Steiber, and Martin?

The other 2 are Snyder's brother (between McKenna and Martin) and Kollin Moore (between Stieber and Tomasello).

All buckeyes. Thought maybe it might be OC training in Colorado. Looks pretty conclusive. Still can't believe two wrestlers will drop down a weight for the bucks.

Not confirmed but seems to be close. Both Snyder and Stieber posted the same pic on Twitter and Instagram and used the word "family".

Who knows. That pic could have been on his visit. Guess we will find out real soon now though. I will never count Cael out til it's official. It won't matter anyway to be honest. JMO

I'm not really holding out a lot of hope for McKenna. He's a great talent. It sounds like he would like to go up to 149. If so, that means he would shirt this coming year and then hold it down for 2 years. With Lee, Berge and Verk coming in, I would be fine with one of our great recruits holding that spot. McKenna might outperform them for the 2 years, but I'm happy with our recruits, along with the rest of our line-up.

Is Pletcher at 133 really dropping down a weight? Wasn't he redshirting at 133 until bumping up to 141 to fill in for the injured Hayes?

If McKenna transfers to tOSU, very doubtful he redshirts in 2017-18. With NaTo, BoJo, and Snyder all in their final season, Ryan will be all in, and that includes McKenna in the lineup. Either at 141 (if Hayes isn't recovered) or at 149 (Jordan moves to 157). Obviously, the latter scenario is better for Brutus, since essentially McKenna replaces Burcher in the lineup.

Um, he's talking about if McKenna did come to PSU he would redshirt and step in at 149 after Zain is gone.
