JUST THINK...There's an Alternate Universe where PITT has the Number One recruiting class

Everyone is optimistic about their new recruiting class. Pitt landed a decent class, but those loco's think they will all be coached up and they will take them to the promise land. At least they have passion - albeit misdirected and unrealistic in nature. Narduz will coach em up - at least on defense - lol.

On the bright side for them, their defense has to be better. It would be impossible for it to be worse.

Enough.

We will see them at Beaver Stadium in game two. There is no excuse for not having 107,000 sold out, and no excuse for not giving them the beating they have been crying for. On the field.

No mercy.

Until then, let it go.

Of course we 'loco's" as you called us do not think our recruits will "all be coached up."
"Misdirected and unrealistic?"....Well, you might be too if you had a 3 star Derelle Revis,
who became a #1 draft choice, perennial All Pro, future Hall of Famer, etc. etc. OR maybe a 2/3 star Aaron Donald who was "coached up" to be a consensus All American,
1st Round draft choice, perennial pro bowler in his three years in the NFl, and NFL
Defensive rookie of the year and NFL Defensive player of the year this year..
Oh wait, there's that other non "coached up" 2 star player I almost forgot about,
James Conner. Nah, he didn't do much..we're just delusional at Pitt.
Of course I could go on and on, but my sense is you already have your mind made up.
As I've mentioned in another post....Congrats to your great recruiting class and
very high pre season ranking for 2017. PSU will be heavily favored against us this
fall, and deservedly so. However, I have a hunch Pitt will show up.

They will show up to get their ass handed to them. Gonna be ugly.

The best is some of them feel the recruiting class is better than the ranking because of 5 star Max Browne...he's a fifth year senior bust, who to this point hasn't done anything in college. Probably a nice guy but his 5 star status is long gone at this point.

Every time I go to a game I have a hunch the other team will show up. I've never been wrong they always have. Pitt will show up to get their ass kicked. Don't think for a second PSU is going to take their foot off the gas when they are up BIG

He will be the whipping boy this year for Pitt fans.

Pitt will show up, and get taken to the wood shed. Expect no mercy.

Deservedly so.

And you know all this because you are a PSU coach right? LOL You know about
not "taking their foot off the gas" because you have insider info right?
And you guys make fun of posters on the lair? Hilarious.

No, he knows about keeping his foot on the gas, because that is Franklin's history.

See: Tennessee, Michigan State.

You are next. See you in September. No mercy.

No I know this because it's what is going to happen. It's going to get real ugly. You might want to take your wife or girlfriend shopping that day

Watch the last 10 minutes of the MSU game...that will answer your question.

My take on the Pitters and their recruiting is the following: Admitting that their classes are not and probably will never be top ten. After the top ten there is little or no difference between the next 25 or 30 ranked classes.
If a difference does exist, Duzz finds kids thru his genius that he will "coach" up. You know like he did the secondary this year.
They defy the "star system" by using information about professional football....never mentioning that there are people in the pro game that did not play college football. Average a few of them in with other highly rated recruits and it will bring the avg down significantly.
Finally, in the ultimate act of denial, they claim that highly rated recruits that snub Pitt are "over rated" "no loss" not as good as the 2 star they have wanted all along instead.

Meh you need to get better at trolling.... So I will throw some more bait in the water... Nardouche will coach those players up and have them at their peak like he did for the Syracuse game this year. How many points did those coached up players with a stellar coaching staff give up in this game again?

I'm prepared to believe that there are multiple universes- places where pixies ride on unicorns, up is down, water is wine, and there are lifeforms based on helium.

But I'm not prepared to believe that there is anyplace where Pitt is #1 in recruiting, that's crazy talk.

During the next few years, the talent gap is going to be absolutely staggering.

I recall during Sterling Jenkins' recruitment, on that board they were all dissing him for being a pussy and soft. One guy who claimed his kid played against Jenkins in high school was insistent that Pitt was not missing out on him, and that other local guys like Paulina and Grimm were much better. I noticed this week that both of those guys are now off the Pitt roster, while Jenkins continues to improve. Everybody over there is already in an alternate universe.

Let's see answering your question....gave up an unheard of 61, but scored 70 some...enough to win. While I'm at it we also gave up 40+ to Clemson but again, scored 40++ to win. Last time I checked it was the scoreboard that counted. Now did it work out that way every game? Of course not, but we're happy with the upward movement of the program.

Again please up your trolling game this is weak. I will play along with you since you're not answering the question. If Nardouche is so good at taking lower rated players and coaching them up as defense is his specialty, how could this great coach and scheme give up 61 points to Syracuse? Syracuse is brutal. As well as high point totals against other teams. As you stated he takes players and makes them so much better no?

Funny thing about upward movement for Pitt. You're still not where you were when you fired Wanny, for not winning enough. you aren't winning as much as he did, you aren't recruiting as well as he did, and you aren't drawing any more fans, either.

Makes you wonder why you all wanted him gone.

Only Pitt can make a transfer athlete into a new recruit

It's clear Brown had no other options. He committed to a school across the country that doesn't have an OC, so he doesn't even know what kind of offense they are going to run. I feel kind of bad for him.

And funny that they mention NFL guys from a decade ago. Those coaches are long, long gone. It's simply not relevant.

Black Hole? Should call it Yellow Hole...for the thousands of empty yellow seats Pitt invites to every home game. Except of course when PSU plays them....then they set attendance records...Sept 9th will be an epic beatdown....

Wanny came in and promptly delivered a losing season in his first year. This was after
a Sun Bowl appearance the previous year. It took Wanny several years to finally reach
a ten win season. His first few were disasters losing to the likes of Ohio U etc.
Narduzzi, the coach you guys loathe, on the other hand went 8-5 and 8-5 in his two years here so far, btw Pitt fans love him. Wanny had a few good recruiting years and some of the Yinzers love him too lol....IMO Narduzzi is outrecruiting him.
As far as drawing fans...you are absolutely right.

Try reading comprehension 101, you need it. I never said Narduzzi was "so good at coaching lower level rated players and coaching them up." I listed three players as examples where Pitt, not necessarily Narduzzi coached em up. The three were Revis, Donald and Conner. Revis and Donald were pre Narduzzi and Conner was an established star before Nardduzzi arrived (ACC offensive player of the year). Go back
and re read the thread, and while you're at it, get your condescending head out of your ass. Also you asked about points in the Syracuse game...re read the response....I
answered your question by stating "we gave up an unheard of 61 points."

Narduzzi isn't coming even close to outrecruiting Wanny. Not even close. That is the problem. It's clear that Narduzzi is not a good recruiter, and he may not even be the defensive genius that he was touted to be. That said, I hope he's at Pitt forever.

Of course not, but we're happy with the upward movement of the program.

And that is why everyone thinks you are a delusional fan base. You have two years with the exact same record and you think you are trending up. Meanwhile the world knows that Pitt was VERY lucky to win two of those games to even get to 8 wins. Add in that Pitt loses pretty much every decent player on their roster from last year... it doesn't equal "upward movement".

They have back to back seasons with one win more than Franklin had when they were all making fun of him and saying he was a used car salesman. Go figure.
