It's good we have 3 capable at manning that weight. We may need them all.looked like his back went.
3 good 197s and they all have injuries/histories of
Beautiful blast double by Cassar, 4-2. minute remaining.
to top that off... he was in on several shots and simply didn't finish on some creative counters.... experience gained... he's good to go...pish,
come on man. he lost a match he should not have lost, but to an NCAA qualifier that has outgrown 184. Not exactly a nothing.
3-1 I think. Listening on radio in loud place.nevills score?
Sorry Tom, had technical difficulties, had to step away. Just edited that post, 7-4 final.what was the final score?
Good to see Mark join the bonus parade, but I think it was double overs not undersIt's just the first few matches against unranked opponents and Mark does appear to be getting on board with the whole bonus point thing. I felt we might see a super skilled competitive kid like Mark find his way to bonus point land his sophomore year. So far so good.
P.S. Mark kills from double unders I hope we see more of this as the year goes on.
10ishSo where does Flo rank Cassar? He beat #4 and #12 today.
Cassar has some real athletic gifts I hope you all are right at end of the year and he makes some noise
3-1, e2 in the 2nd, and clutch tilt for 2 in the 3rd before giving up an escape. Kaspar baited him into thinking he'd get a reversal in the 2nd, but "rode him out" for most of it.nevills score?
3-1 I think3-1, if I remember correctly
I was picturing the unders he has crushed with in the past. He used double overs on "the bull" at the team trials last summer but he's used unders on Chance-A Valencia-and Joe Smith. It was the unders I miss. Not that it matters the pin was boss and was a nice addition to the PSU talent show.Good to see Mark join the bonus parade, but I think it was double overs not unders
Nick has put some solid weight on, he has been wrestling and training uninjured for 20 straight months.I can’t wait for Nevills/Coon. Nick has man strength this year
Well, the kind of results that appear here during a tournament tend to be the ones that don't get their own thread, so it's pretty common practice, not sure you're going to be able to get buy-in on that proposal.I have a request. Please don’t post results from other events in the middle of these threads. They are spoilers.
Nick has put some solid weight on, he has been wrestling and training uninjured for 20 straight months.
The other consideration that is probably overlooked is the NLWC brought EricThompson back this year to train with Nick. Nick has Cael and Jake to wrestle with and sometimes Gwiz is around, but having Eric to wrestle with daily gives Nick a large high quality training partner that pushes him past what he is comfortable with. Other than Snyder it is going to take a large effort to beat Nick this year.
And I hope Nick doesn't try to use it -- that is exactly what Coon wants. Minimize tie-ups. Change directions, angles, eye level ... make Coon react. He'll be perfectly happy to lean on Nick and hand fight.I can’t wait for Nevills/Coon. Nick has man strength this year
Any idea who took OW Tim? Maybe one isn't given out at the Keystone?
Bo had three pins in under a minute and one TF that took longer for the tournament. Nevills gave up 4 points total, all escapes, in 5 matches? Nice job by Nick.
The surprise may have been NW's performance. They must be happy with how they did.
