Were you going to try to compare him and Blackledge despite their jobs not even remotely being the same?
So Herby’s son commits to Michigan for football, but he’ll be a back up. That said, here’s a perfectly rational response from Buckeye Fan:
“Doesn't matter if he wasn't offered. This is treasonous. His dad and grandfather were ****ing captains here. Herbstreit's worth so much money getting a scholarship doesn't even matter. He is a total pussy for allowing his son to go to TTUN. He should have his captains dinner pass revoked. I have stuck up for Herbs so many times on this website and With other Buckeye fans for a long time because I've known him and I worked on college game day with them but this draws the line in the sand.

I believe that one of Herbstreit's walked on at OSU a few years ago - he never did play. What's the big deal if one of his kids wants to attend Michigan ? Maybe they (Michigan) have an academic major that is more appealing than OSU's.
These sites are comical. I travel most of the Rivals sites and it's the same - OSU, PSU, Michigan, Nebraska - everyone is out to get them. The other team gets away with holding, gets all of the calls, have the refs in their back pockets......blah, blah, blah....it's a huge conspiracy. Jesus H Christ - it gets ridiculous. It's just a game played by 18 to 22 year old kids people.
Trace was certainly better than the Covid year wonder, Pickett who was rated #64.
Pickett was/is overrated but not a product of Saquon and elite receivers--he had no supporting cast.
Trace wasn't very good--people just love him because he was tough
Pickett was the product of pitt's annual cupcake schedule and the chaotic Covid year. He sucked before that one year and sucked in the pros. I agree the Trace was not an elite QB, but he was better than Pickett. For that matter, I think Clifford and Allar are better than Pickett.

Pickett was probably better college and pro QB than Trace
Clifford and Allar are better than Pickett but they're also better than Trace.
Trace is one of the most overrated players in Penn State history IMO--gutsy kid and during a rough era of Penn State football especially with the sanctions and Hack not being successful but highly overrated.
