kirk herbstreit just picked us as the sleeper team..oh no!

I love how people continually point to 6-4, in order to justify a total piece of excrement.

"Hey, our offensive line is awful and our QB was knocked down 83 times and sacked 44 times..."

"But HEY....6-4....so, you know, it's not that bad!"

Bad.....is......Bad.

Yea, who cares about it being peak-year for BS NCAA sanctions in regards to scholie roster or that FLO left the cupboard bare and did as much damage to the program as he possibly could in the manner he left....who cares if it was all extremely unfair & unjust to PSU but they valliantly battled on...who cares blah, blah, blah...

The reality is that given the circumstances and the talent on hand (especially on OL where two DLs that have never played o-line in college had to be converted just to field a 2-deep Depth Chart on OL!), 6-4 wasn't only not bad, it was pretty damn impressive under the circumstances.

I'm not following ...

Just run the ball behind that nations' best offensive line, that's your ticket to win in 10 of your 12 games this year. You'll need to throw to beat us, and Michigan State however.

I'd add TUN and VaTech to that list as well.....last year in Columbus, VaTech loaded the box and attacked the LOS against a talented but very inexperienced O-line and QB and destroyed our offensive rhythm. With our WR corps decimated for the opener in Blacksburg, I see no reason why they won't attack in the same manner. We're going to have to be successful throwing the ball to win in a tough environment. We've recruited well in that area and have a load of talent, but young, inexperienced and untested. Going to be a helluva test for the kids AND Urby and staff

I have always contended that we didn't lose to Iowa in the 6-4 game, we simply ran out of time. Eventually our D was going to get another safety to tie it. Then on OT, we could have taken three knees and kicked a long one to win 9-6.

Without question, that was the game plan. However, Ferrentz out smarted us when he wisely gave up the 2 points on the safety, and punted the ball away, giving PSU the ball, and immediately putting Iowa back in the drivers seat, lol.

I agree. We all know the defense will be one of the best in the land. Add a productive O and we will see some big things

Kirk also picked LSU and Tennessee in the SEC Title game. So I would take what he has to say with a grain,.

I like the LSU pick to be honest. The Mad Hatter might be out if big things don't happen. He always finds a way to lose a game or two they shouldn't though with insane game management alone.

Tennessee has A LOT of talent. If Jones can coach they should break through a little this year. No way I'd pick them to the title game though.
