And, now, the moment everyone has been working for and waiting for all year long, well, aside from the national championship, the unveiling of the KYPSW Season Champion. It has been a grind. Seventy-two people have taken part, but only a little more than half have played every dual, plus the B1G and NCAA.
Without further ado, here is your podium for the full season of KYPSW. Chromehill comes in 8th, followed by longtime player Acacia at 7th. Sixth place goes to funkisfun, who led the regular season most of the way through. Fifth place is the hard rocker, ZepGraffiti. PSUflyfisher takes the fourth spot. Tom1973, from the 247 board takes the bronze medal. Lionmd, just one point shy of winning takes the silver. And this year's season champion is Eastern HWT!
One final award to be given out is a fan favorite, even if it's not a favorite of the person that wins it. This award is known as the Minkel Award, and it goes to the lowest-scoring participant who played all of the duals, the B1G and the NCAA. It is, of course, named after Tom Minkel, who had a less than illustrious career as a Michigan State's head coach. The winner of this year's Minkel Award goes to Justin6 over on the 247 board. Don't worry, Justin, you have seven months to recover, lift and come back stronger than ever.
Thanks for playing, and we'll see everyone next year!
