When and if he wrestles it will not be called final X so please explain how he isn't out of final x.
Interesting rule on the right to get a delay. It begs the question of why the Magic Man isn't asking for a delay. Based on the criteria noted in the USA Wrestling article, it appears that David could easily qualify for the postponement (a 2018 World medalist who earned an automatic berth into the final wrestle-off; must make the request in writing at least 48 hours prior to weigh-in; must provide proof of the injury/illness).
Come on Magic Man, lots of us would love to see you on the world team this year if you're physically able to compete!

I'm guessing that whatever his surgery was has a well-established recovery time, which is beyond time any chance for a wrestler-off.
