Lair declares Barkley as likely bust

In terms of raw talent, Barkley is clearly better than Bell. However, Bell is a proven commodity. He can use his raw talent to succeed in the NFL. Barkley has yet to prove himself in the NFL. However, Bell is an airhead like the Steelers have had in the past -- Plaxico Burress comes to mind. I look for Bell to implode in the next couple of years and the Steelers will be left with nobody. If I was in charge of the Steelers I would take the chance and ship Bell to Cleveland for Barkley. In the long run I think Barkley will be better than Bell.
I don't think Bell is anywhere near as bad as Plaxico. I'm not against trading Bell for the top pick or the 4th pick if he was there. I just don't think there's any chance that happens. If Bell was 27 or 28 I think we'd consider dealing him. Not at 25. Again, if it happens I won't be upset but I think if we trade up we're taking a QB. We don't pick top 10 early and, if we do, we're going to try to find that franchise QB
I love that our fanbase who chants "we are" is critical of people saying we. It's one of the five dumbest things that exists on this board
An alum, especially one who financially supports the football team and university, saying "we are" is nothing at all like referring to a pro sports franchise you don't play or work for as "we". What you are attempting to do is called a "False equivalence".
Wrong--we're not part of the Penn State football team. And if you support the Steelers by buying season tickets then apparently, using your faulty logic, I can say we--which I do.

Since when does saying "We are... Penn State" only refer to football? I guess you missed the word "especially" when I start talking about being a financial supporter of football being a supporting detail. Since you like to refer to the Steelers as "we", did you live on their campus for years, pay them tuition, earn degrees from them? Support them with charitable donations?

It's honestly comical that you think it's okay to say "we" when referring to any Penn State sport because someone is an alum. It is no different. None at all but you need to defend a stupid comment that you made so here we are. I will continue to refer to Penn State sports, the Steelers and Pens as "we" and it will be accurate regardless of your opinion. Enjoy being a douchebag

While it doesn't make sense grammatically, if you aren't a part of the team... plenty of people still do it, so that by itself doesn't make you a "XXXXX" (I'm not using that word). But when added to other behaviors it can be telling. Take our buddy 78sweetrevenge. He adds no value, nobody wants him here, he is essentially a joke. But he hangs around desperately trying to be part of the group. For someone like that, using "we" is a sad way to feel included when nobody likes you.
