Happened around two thirty this pm.Possibly three victims no details

I had a nephew there, who got out without getting hurt. At least three shot and two others trampled, according to my Lancaster family.

I don't have it but my daughters and niece were apparently watching a video of it on tik tok. Looked like a gang altercation if what they saw was authentic.

Is it just me or was the all white sweat outfit a giveaway? Even I know not to wear white after Labor Day.

I fired as much as I ever wanted when I served in the military during Viet Nam. After that I had no interest in shooting anything although I’m a sharpshooter. I get all my meat at the supermarket. I think that carrying a weapon emboldens you, and I would prefer to avoid confrontations or dangerous situations. I use my brain rather than risk losing it. In my long life I have never put myself at risk and I just don’t go into dangerous territory because I think about it in advance. I don’t hunt and have concluded that random acts of violence aren’t really random. They can be avoided. The brain is a better form of protection than a gun.

We have had shootings in schools, churches and grocery stores. There are no safe territories. Carrying does not have to embolden a person. If anything it should make the law abiding carriers more cautious because they understand the ramifications of getting it wrong. Now, on the other hand, some punk carrying illegally will probably be emboldened. Not your typical CCL holder though.

I don’t disagree with anything you wrote. But guns are great fun.

Easily one of your best posts.

I remember going to Park City Mall back in the early 80's when there was a ice skating rink I am pretty sure on the ground floor that you could look out over when you were on the main floor from above and see the people skating. Anybody else remember that? The arcade was also down on the ground floor, spent many a night down in there feeding quarters.

Remember it well. The arcade (mid 70's) had a shark-hunting video game that i loved. And skating, yep! For roller skating, we went to Overlook. I never could do the Flea Hop.

yes, Overlook. they had a nice golf course there also I played a lot growing up. If I remember the roller rink. You walked in on the right and got your skates and put them on some benches and then at the top end of the rink was the food and the arcade room.

Overlook nite skating! I won every race and shockingly saw my brother smoke his first cig (he was 14)
Hid my cigs in a quiver hanging up with my bow in the basement.Older brother ratted me out after pulling arrows out and discovering my stash.
To this day I think he saw me pull them out or in.He thought he was a friggin ninja

Appreciate your sentiments and thanks for your service in Vietnam.

In a bucolic world you might be able to talk your way out of it. But in the real world you'd best have a gun just in case negotiations breakdown. This is especially true in a society where we're judged first and foremost by immutable traits.

The moral of the story: get a gun for backup. I can recommend the Sig P365.

Thank you.
