Latest in Paterno v NCAA

When will that be and how can you guarantee that? Please provide a date for the judge issuing rulings on outstanding cases. I'll await your answer. Thx in advance Sir.

I suggest that you contact the one person who has the answer to your questions: Judge John Boccabella.
I don't know why you would think that anyone other than him would be able to provide the information that you're asking for.

When do Curley, Shultz, and Spanier take the stand?

It appears to be a year away - middle of 2017.

Judge Gavin spoke to Judge Boccabella recently. See page 9 in this 8/11/2016 order in McQueary vs PSU: http://co.centre.pa.us/centreco/media/upload/MCQUEARY OPINION FILED AUGUST 15 2016.pdf

"I have spoken to the Honorable John A. Boccabella who has been assigned to handle the criminal
cases. Based on our conversation. I do not see Messrs. Curley and Schultz being available in this case before the middle of 2017 under the best case scenario.
"

Best case scenario in this case means they're found not guilty and do not need to continue with appeals.

"Should that not occur, given the Sandusky precedent, their cases will be working their way through the system for years to come."

Middle of 2017, maybe. Unbelievable. 5 and a half years. The US fought WW2 in less time. How is this possible?

All three zipped tighter than a nun on good friday, forever. They'll take what they know to the grave to save themselves.

You are arguing that they want everyone to believe that they deliberately covered up for Sandusky. That is asinine.

CSS will not see the stand until all of the trials for everyone else is over. That includes JS PCRA, MM, Paterno Estate, and Spanier unless they settle the case with the three of them signing and NDA and stating that they will plead the 5th at any trial. That way the OGBoT and the State can hide the truth which would damage the ruling elite who have dirty hands.

The charges left for CSS could be just misdemeanor level at this point but it is enough to keep them quiet unless they themselves want to risk further prosecution. CSS charges have always been in place so they would not testify and hurt the JS case and to vilify JVP.

Follow the power (money)!

A huge amount of effort & political capital is being expended to keep them quiet. Only a moron would believe that they don't want to tell their side.

Comin up on 5 years now pal, how much talkin have they done so far? Curley has cancer and he won't talk. Facts back me, not you. And don't cite that BS 2012 article, that does NOT qualify as talking.

why do you state things as though they are a fact when you haven't a clue what the 3 individuals plan to do?

That's your proof that your guess/opinion/whatever is fact? smh

Tim Curley and Gary Schultz were charged in Nov. 2011. Both have excellent lawyers. And on the advice of lawyers (which even a L1 student would know), they have not publicly spoken about the charges, and will not do so until their trials are over or the charges are dropped. That's a fact. After their trials/charges are dropped, the situation is likely to change (though when is dependent upon how their cases go).

Spanier was charged in 2012. He did speak to Freeh's team before he was charged, and was interviewed by ?? (I think it was the New Yorker) before he was charged. He also has excellent legal representation, and has not publicly commented on the situation since he was charged, on the advice of his counsel. As with C/S, he will speak after the trial/after charges are dropped, though again, the timing is dependent on what happens with the case.

I can guarantee you that the above is not a guess, an opinion, or whatever else you want to call it of mine.

You can't guarantee they'll talk anymore than I can guarantee they won't. Whatever you want to call that, you have a nice volume of information you've taken the time to digest, none of which promises they'll talk. I've read the New Yorker, please point to the part of the article that gets the public closer to "finding the truth" and how it relates to Paterno, in that article. I can also guarantee you that I know people in the athletic department, as well as you do, and can site their names as reference, and none of them believe anyone will ever talk.

You have your opinion and I have mine.

You're going to be disappointed, Miles.
Sure as sunshine, no one knows if they "won't talk"......and just as surely no one knows if they "will talk".

About the only thing that IS clear in that regard, is that everyone has been - and likely will continue to be - puckered up like a school girl's honey pot so long as any "charges" remain on the table

You're going to be disappointed, Miles.

Wrong. If they talked, I would be very, very happy. I would love for them to talk. They've lawyered up and the cases have been delayed, going on five years.

FIVE YEARS of delays, are you attempting to sell me that these delays are completely, and comprehensively, independent of the moves of their attorneys? Backloged courts Judges dying? Come on.

If your rights were violated, you'd fight for them too. I don't call that "delaying". The only thing that was delayed was the obvious ruling in their favor the Judge did not seem to want to make. When it finally was made, wrongly, look what happened. It was overturned in the Superior Court, which is what all judges fear.

Additionally, we recently found out Hoover was very ill. This could also be reason for the delays. You act as if it were a choice on C/S/S part and it wasn't. Hoover passed away on the 24th. There were factors here you don't allow for. Why?

wow. that wouldn't fly in a jv high school debate competition.

Athletic department employees as your sources? LMFAO. You're really out of your league on this one.

I'm done debating this with you. You can keep any opinion you want, but what I stated are facts, and I stand by my guarantee.

I'll stand by mine too. You have no proof they'll talk either. So far nobody has talked regardless of the reasons.

I guarantee people will talk but won't guarantee the three will talk. As soon as it is allowed AOJ material will be released to he media. The AG's office will just let the press do the work they didn't want to or couldn't legally do.
The three could talk all they want, but part of that talking will be answering or avoiding awkward and uncomfortable questions.

Maybe because it's been nearly five years. Name another case of perjury that has taken five years.
