latest Suriano news

Here's the thing. We should always spell out "fun" on here. Nothing wrong with making a tough sport fun. If our athletes are saying it so much to troll those who get triggered by it (I think Cenzo takes some pleasure in that and Zain's deadpan use of it cracks me up) -- all the better.

Dan Gable looked seriously out of touch at NCAAs bemoaning Baldwin's use of the word. Baldwin and Steveson's reactions were pretty funny.

Well. He was prob never coming back and some thought so with his parents going to visit Cael and Sandy

Slush....Rondi seems like the kind of jerzy gal that thinks the pool in the RU student section is marketing genius.

So can anyone confirm Suriano's parents met with Cael & Sandy ?

Or are we all just posting tongue & cheek ..... aside from Iceland, France, Greco, PD3, Shut Up Sandusky Awards and other F** topics.

Just in case someone wants to know. Follow Willie's "March gonna be f*n" tweet.

Does this mean Suriano is staying at PSU is ask and Penn State wrestling alum and the first Penn Stater to win a Senior (old guy) world Championship John Hanrahman tweeted "YUP"

If anybody was interested.

Slush,

Enjoy Diane and tell her to tell Bill and Ron howdy.

If anything, I would think it means he's gone, but OSU's addition of McKenna could make the race really close.

Some may disagree with me, but if Suriano is in a blue singlet this year, I don't see OSU being able to keep it close enough come March.

Doubt anyone cares...though in the name of extending this thread as we head to 3000, here goes...

2 days left of our trip out west to Denver. Pike's Peak was beauteous, as are all the majestic mountains here. Also hiked Garden of the Gods...

Hit the Coors brewery yesterday, thoroughly enjoying the tour and samples at the end. Today is history of Denver day, and a concert at Red Rocks tonight. Haven't fainted once from the light air!!

It's no Iceland, though f** nonetheless:).

Hockeygod must be wondering if he's taught you anything over the years. ;)

You can say fun around here. You can also smile in team pictures

If Suriano is back and wrestling to par, I'm not worried at all. Lose Suriano and things get very interesting.

At NCAAs - Healthy Suriano, Keener & Cortez >> injured Suriano, NQ and Jimmy. Figure that's an extra 20 or so points.

Bucks swap JRod, NATO at 133, Pletcher, Micah, NQ and Burcher for NATO, Pletcher, Hayes, McKenna, Micah and Campbell. Take out the returners who are just moving weights to make things easy and add points gained by Hayes, McKenna and Campbell. Even if more than 20, we beat them by 36 last year. They've got a ton to make up.

Funny that people are pegging Joseph, an NC who slayed the next 4 timer, to score about as much as McKenna in a different weight.

Cenzo gets no respect... a freshman national champ who beat Massa and IMar to win it. And, he will be better this year! I would love to have NS back, but I have confidence the guys will find a way to win without him as well.

Cenzo didn't just pin IMar, he was outwrestling him. He was controlling him. This wasn't an example of IMar being unfamiliar with Cenzo. Cenzo closed the gap and was simply a better wrestler in the finals. IMar has his work cut out for him if he wants to beat Cenzo. It's now IMar who better find a way to beat Cenzo.

He who scored all of 3 points last year.

And it's reasonable to believe that he (McKenna) is likely to do considerably better in 2018. At least I think so.

Winning a title once (in a very tough weight class) is difficult. Winning a second consecutive title with all the top guys back is doubly difficult. So I don't consider it disrespectful (or silly) in any way to peg Cenzo with a top three finish.

Except several people have picked him to place 4th.

The season can't start soon enough It is hard to believe Zain will be a senior- his freshman win over Steiber was one for the ages (even with the average officials and long bus ride!)

I still don't know how Cenzo managed to get his hips on top while falling near-backwards on that inside trip late vs Massa.

I re-watched that at least 10 times.

That was a magic act.
I think Cenzo was able to not land below the other guy for the same reason that the German shown below did not land below the other guy. Namely, the other guy, like Antaeus, lost contact with mother Earth and therefore could not fight being rotated in mid-air.
