latest Suriano news

A little transparency by the Surianos could have helped a lot. Penn State did, and properly so, kept mum; Rutgers leaked misinformation and the Surianos said nothing.

One thing that raised an eyebrow for me was reading somewhere that PSU met with the Surianos and then planned to use info from the Surianos from that meeting to claim tampering to the B1G against Rutgers. I'm pretty sure I read that. Or did I imagine it? Anyhow, if that happened, then I wonder how the Surianos would like being made into stool pigeons. Gotta treat that family with kid gloves.

Has any PSU athlete EVER been granted a release to transfer, and then not transfer? I certainly cannot recall one (at least of those publicized)...

Iirc, that was a post by worthyone.

That may have come from Worthy, might not want to put a ton of stock in that.

Serious question, as new poster, has there been some new info that I missed to solidify the idea that Nick os not coming back? Seems 3 or 4 pages ago there was a mic drop now several people state he is definitely gone.

Sorry Mr. Dog. I bleed blue. Going back to lurk mode.
Don't go! I was just free associating and punning on your handle and the Michael Jackson song. I was just wanting to write "Are you wanna be starting sumtin?" bad grammar and all, and I spelled it R U before even making the Rutgers connection. :)

There's little or no recent info in either direction.

But, when in doubt, there's always Penn State Pessimism (TM).

I check before I leave for work, on my phone during work multiple times a day, at stop lights on my way home, during dinner, after my kids are in bed, all evening after that, etc. OK, I have a problem and I admit it. I think I need to go to a 10 step program.[/QUOTE]
I smiled when I read this post, and other posts similar to this, as I am guilty of doing the same thing. So why are/were we doing it? I think the basic reason for me was that with Suriano in the line-up, this PSU team had the potential to be historically special. It had the potential to set the NCAA tournament record for team points and crown 6 national champions; to be the best wrestling team fielded to date. Without Suriano I still believe we have a great team; a team which can go undefeated in dual meets (tOSU will be very tough), win the regular B1G dual season, the B1G tournament and the national championship (of course LemonPie has already conceded this to tOSU given no Suriano and he'd have been joined by 21 Guns but thankfully he is MIA). So a team lineup without Suriano will still be great and FUN to watch, but it could have been historically great. I think the latter part of that last sentence is why we visited this thread so often. Plus I wanted to contribute to the effort to get to 3000 posts!:)

Just speaking for myself, but the historically great with Nick angle has no bearing on why I have been coming back to this thread.

My two cents for Nick,. You are selfish and ungrateful. This team was and still is the best team ever. Be gone Nick Suriano.
