The Jackson effect has been very noticeable. Nobody loses sleep or stresses over what time of day is it?
We were there, brought a bunch of Penn Staters with us. Third time in last 8 years or so and attendance is always lower than expected. At 6,100 plus for the Penn State dual, it will be by far their largest attendance of the year. Another data point re. attendance; they've moved their dual with MSU, which should be a rivalry, to the 1,800 seat Cliff Keen Arena. The Kevin Jackson effect certainly isn’t putting butts in seats. Their last two Friday night duals were huge matchups and I saw as much opposing colors in the stands as I did maize and blue.
As far as Okie State, that’s a tough one to figure out. No answer for that.
$3? Lol….can’t get a candy bar for that these daysWe were there, brought a bunch of Penn Staters with us. Third time in last 8 years or so and attendance is always lower than expected. Tickets for the Penn State dual were $3, and they had a $1 ticket special for the Sunday dual with Rutgers (same weekend). Crazy, can't explain it.
MSU was $3 too, so for the double-dual weekend, our total cost was $6 per person if my math is right . The Ypsi ipa at the hotel cost more than that.$3? Lol….can’t get a candy bar for that these days
U of M people. They can't attend wrestling matches. They are too busy fretting how Ohio State is going to take Harbaugh away, without realizing Ohio State is working hard to keep Harbaugh at Michigan. We were there, brought a bunch of Penn Staters with us. Crap, I paid $5 to get into the Michigan dual (and $3 for MSU).MSU was $3 too, so for the double-dual weekend, our total cost was $6 per person if my math is right . The Ypsi ipa at the hotel cost more than that.

Michigan - that’s an older bunch of wrestlers. Kevin is probably there to develop the younger guys. Next year will tell if he has a positive effect.
Smith is only like 56? He is not that old. The guy is a legend. I just think he makes his guys cut to hard! They look very tired to me. If I couldn't wrestle for Cael, I would wanna wrestle for John Smith. Seems like a real decent guy in his interviews as well just like Cael.Michigan - that’s an older bunch of wrestlers. John Smith has been a great coach over the years, but, this team has got away from him. It may indeed be the end for John. It would probably be better for him to turn the program over to a younger coach who is more willing and able to manage the shenanigans of this era. Stillwater is a destination job and they could snag a guy like David Taylor to reinvigorate the program.
