Does anyone else see an opportunity to make constructive coaching adjustments? For example, we have a former receiver coaching DBs and a former DB coaching receivers. We just lost not just a DC, but a position coach. Assuming Pry is promoted and remains LB coach, is the best thing to just replace a safety position coach, or use the opportunity to realign the staff? How many of us complained this year about the DB play, especially tackling? Also, from what I hear, our WR techniques, compared with OB's staff, were much simplified and rigid. Why not at least discuss the possibility of realigning responsibilities if the best talent available does not happen to be a safties coach. Also, is anyone happy with our special teams play. Seems improved over the OB staff (something OB worshipers conveniently ignore) but is there room for improvement. Personally, I would Franklin to go out on a limb and hire a dedicated ST coach. Screw convention.
